You know they do sound similar. O.O Maybe that's why it's my second favorite song off the soundtrack, seeing how that's my favorite Cure song. <3 Anyway someone should definitely do a mash up of the two, I would but I have way too many projects to worry about at the moment.
Shadix sent this to me, saying only the words, "Splash Hill."
Holy fuck, I would like to marry this song and make many babies with it. Their style is a little Chicago-esque in a good way too.

Anyone else here think that the Death Egg Mk.II theme from S4E2 sound a lot like The Love Song by The Cure?
Wow, I've never heard that Cure song before, but I hear it clear as day. I chalk it up to there being only so many combinations of notes and chords and with almost 7 billion people on Earth, someone is bound to notice the similarities.
These guys appear to be a huge influence in Sonic music period, right down to the obsession with Slap Bass. :P
edit: another fun tidbit. This band made the theme for Formula One Racing. I'm curious if this is part of the reason why crazy jazz fusion seems to be forever attached to japanese racing games.

Well, even though it's not exactly related to this thread, there's a good reason for that:
Their music is actually used in Japan for the opening to the F1 coverage! Has been used for years, still used recently from what I've seen. Good song though! T-SQUARE are also responsible for Knight's Song, otherwise known as many as Moon Over The Castle, Grand Turismo's main theme.
Also RE: Jun using a sample library, I'm curious to know what library it was. Would it be possible to get any more details from him?
