Just beat Sonic 2 earlier today,
with all the emeralds before I finished Emerald Hill zone 
, with the Sega arcade controller I received in the mail today thanks to AerosolSP :D

Well I didn't get to play Sonic 2 since I had work and I have the fucking flu, so I spent time with my girl, slept, and went to work. I got off work at Midnight, so it wasn't Sonic Twosday anymore.

Played though on an emulator, Sonic & Tails. Beat the game, got 4 emeralds, and tried about 9 times to get the 5th. XP The ring requirements with Tails are INSANE when you consider how much of a burden he is if you don't have a second player on the pad.

Tails is awful. On my last attempt (not recent), I think I got stuck on the 5th too. Tails annoys me in all respects of the game, yet I almost feel inauthentic if I select Sonic alone. :P
Just reminds me of how much they eased the Special Stages for Knuckles.

Last night was my first time in years playing right the way through. I had Sonic and Tails, got 5 Emeralds but couldn't get the last 2 :/
Then I tried it with Knuckles, got 6 Emeralds in Emerald Hill Zone and just couldn't get the last one. Gave in after that.
It felt really good to get back into Sonic 2 again.
