I also have to say I favor Sonic Classic Heroes

 

I don't know how fond you are about the Heroes style of text. But I had a go with it.



How are these? would you like the MegaDrive font instead?

IMHO the new letters on CLASSIC don't really match, especially in shape: they're a lot thicker and rounder than the originals in HEROES. I don't want to sound too negative; it's not like I could do better!

Personally, Sonic Classic Heroes doesn't particularly do it for me, especially as the classic series has other games: 3&K are also classics, so what'll happen when S3&K:H comes out? You're just postponing the problem, in a way. :P (Also, there may be potential for minor confusion with Hez's fan-game or the community of the same name.)

flamewing: I put a bit about 1&2 in the wiki article for each of the separate hacks (longer for S2H), which hopefully looks OK. Obviously, they could be reduced to a single line once it's released and a separate article is created.
EDIT: I also didn't notice before that the page still had an outdated version, 0.06f instead of 0.06h; I found your post with the link (already on the wiki) to the latter and updated the article accordingly. I couldn't find 0.06g, a.k.a. the Hacking Contest 2011 version, either by substituting the URL or by scanning your previous posts, so I just put in a commented-out line in case you or anyone else want to link that version.

I was alittle on the fence about the text not matching either. 'ought to alter it a tad.

Cool. Also, despite my doubts about the title, I am intrigued to see how the Mega Drive font would work if you decide to try that.

 

Why not just keep it as Sonic Heroes? If people want to differentiate between the ROM hack and the console game then they can use 'Sonic Heroes (16-bit)'. Trying to turn it into something like Sonic 1&2 Heroes or Sonic Classic/Retro Heroes just makes the title clunky, both as text and as a logo (mostly because the 'Heroes' text loses focus and looks tiny compared to the Sonic logo, let alone the numerals).

I'd have said to keep Heroes in the original style and only do Classic in the retro font. That is, again, if you must use that title! :P Also, I still don't think your modern-style Classic matches the official Heroes (sorry!)

 

Thought if I made both Flamewing could mix and match to his preference. (Unless he specifies now what he wants) and I know the classic is well off what Heroes looks like. It was done very quickly. IRL stuff.

 

Personally I think Retro Sonic Heroes sounds better, or if you want to plug this site, Sonic Retro Heroes.

Just throwing that out there anyway...

Edit: Stephen's post just appeared. I saw that suggested earlier (by Steven M, actually; what a coincidence!), and it's better, but it still raises the question, as I asked earlier, of what flamewing will do with (the hack provisionally known as) S3&K Heroes—whose component games are also retro/classic. Sure, the latter has an even longer title, but I don't see many other ways to maintain consistency. Maybe call it just Sonic 3 Heroes? (and merge it with Tiddles’ hack :P Haha, I'm suggesting way too much work for everyone now.)

Looks awesome Cinossu. Perhaps though, the shine on the emblem could be made consistent on the lettering of CLASSIC? That's the only thing I see wrong with it.

 

For everyone saying "What about Sonic 3K?", just call it Sonic Classic Heroes Part 2 or something.
