Here's to still seeing Dreamcast games in 2021! Still releasing games to this day (mainly shoot 'em ups), the Dreamcast has truly been a console to reckon with! Let's celebrate by naming off our favorites, starting with the obvious, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2.

THE PINNACLE OF THE 90's.

OH, and I forgot... ReVolt. If you have not played ReVolt, then you do not know anything about racing games.

It's still a month away for Europe... I only got it for Christmas too. Still, it's always a nice time to remember my beloved Crazy Taxi / Jet Set Radio... That reminds me I have to clean those wretched pins as well.

Happy Birthday to the Dreamcast! ...And Happy Birthday to me! XP

I admit, when the Dreamcast came out, I wanted to buy it, but...couldn't. I really would like to know what's it like to hold a Dreamcast controller in your hands. Maybe one day...

Because I STILL want to play Jet Grind Radio! Really badly! (Though I think there is some rumor it might appear on XBLA.)

Bleh, US birthday. =(

My DC is still set up in my living room. Got over 100 games for it (legit, obviously) and love it to bits - may well play some Rez tonight.

If you've known me for a while, you'll know that I was one of those players who continued right to the official end (March 2007, with the release of Karous). Not everything was a classic, but if you've never played Under Defeat then you've missed out. It's just a shame that the NAOMI board couldn't carry on as a viable arcade platform, what with the discontinuation of GD-ROM parts. Unfortunately, the switch back to expensive ROM boards chased the remaining small developers on to other boards, like the Taito Type-X series. If it weren't for that we could have been seeing arcade ports for the Dreamcast beyond 2007.

As for the unlicensed releases? I've only bothered with Last Hope and Wind & Water, and unless something really interesting shows up I probably won't be buying any more soon.

Happy Birthday Dreamcast!

I totally remember the first day I got it. It the first day of school in the 6th grade, and I had it pre-ordered from FuncoLand.
I went with my father to pick it up after school, and we had Sonic Adventure and Power Stone.

good times.

Yuji Naka didn't think that Sega should have opted out of being a first party game company. If Sega decided to ride the Dreamcast till it died (or maybe it wouldn't have died?) how do you think that would have played out?

Happy 11th, Dreamcast!

I absolutely love this console. Have it hooked up right now. Hell, I might play some Sonic Adventure later.
