The level goes into Tropical Forest

"Sonic - The Mission" is a fan-game I'm creating since 2007. With many ups and downs, I restarted the project several times because of him not being out as I wanted, but this time I am with great expectations about the future of the game and I'm posting to share with you.

In the game, Sonic will have some skills, by the way most already know, like:

- Homming Attack
- Light Speed Dash
- Spin Dash
- Blue Tornado

For you have a better idea of the project just check the video below:

Other than the fact I had to hit mute to make this video bearable (I hope to GOD that's not your actual in-game sound. If it isn't, why didn't you show the actual sound off?), it doesn't look too bad. For a fangame engine the physics seem solid and faithful to Advance 2 (and unlike Advance 2, no fucking death pits in sight). Though your random drops and heading left did confuse me - were you doing that just to show off that teleporter?

Seems kinda neat, but I'll have to reserve judgment until I've actually tried it out.

No, that sound will not be in the game. To tell the truth nor the game even has a song, but I'll be providing as soon as possible.
In relation to the Advance 2, only part of the Big Ring that I tried to like it, because I find it very amusing.

Don't give up, by 2037 it'll be 100% complete! v.png

I had forgotten to tell, but I had been a long time without developing it. I returned this month.

Hmm, looks pretty faithful to the Advance series. However that teleporter does look slightly out of place, I'd suggest edititing it slightly so it doesn't just look something ripped from S&K and slapped into your game. Also, I seemed to have noticed a great lack of rings for the first zone, quite possibly cause there's none on the loops (which sorta breaks tradition). And are the Leaf Forest Zone graphics placeholders for your own?

Otherwise, looks pretty decent.

I think this is the Sonic Worlds enigne, and what a way to use it! Looks just like SA2, although those shapes in the background (in th actual game) would be good to add, to the feel of the level, it just looks too empty and open imo.

Some graphics I'm putting the Leaf Forest, but I'm trying to making a mix to make it interesting.

Yes, it's Sonic Worlds, only it's an older version (0.2).
I'll give an edited level to make it "completed".

Until the next time o/

Turns out the fan-games (most) staff uses some resources of the original games, or create their own custom sprites.
In my case, I do a mixture of graphics for the GBA and DS.

Sound: Klaxons - Gravity's Rainbow

As I said earlier, it was only a matter of act 2 is ready for me to provide the download link, but we still have little details to be finalized as Menu, Title Card, Credit, etc ... Maybe by the 15th of this month I release a playable version for you to test.

Hope you like it ^^
