Roger Craig Smith and Kate Higgins are the new Sonic and Tails VAs

Isn't franchise-changing something that could be used to describe, well...anything officially done with the property?

 

Who knows.
It could mean Yuji Naka returning to PROGRAM for Sonic games, instead of watching at a distance.
It could be Yuji Naka forming a new "Retro Studios" Knock-off to finish Sonic 4 (maybe continue with Sonic 5).

Those I would consider franchise changing, because its HUGE news for the fans and would likely change the course of Sonic games for a long time.

At least we have Colours info to pacify us untill Thursday.

Talk of such massive news has me wondering. It could be even mean the announcment of the 20th Anniversay game, but thats not franchise changing (unless....NAH)

Too bad I don't expect much since SEGA tends to hype everything related to Sonic lately (still remember the Shellcracker concept art).

I don't know what this is, but I get the feeling that it's going to be stupid. Sega has a history of stupid.

If this really doesn't have anything to do with the games, it might be less stupid.

I will always have hope for a classic Sonic return, I think that would be considered franchise changing.

We actually joked about that on #retro when I said that.
Knowing SEGA, it's not going to be anything good. And Yuji Naka doesn't want to touch Sonic games any more, so you'll have to make do with Dimps making the games the wrong way.

 

Hoping here that SEGA is done with Sonic forever.

...which means that it is not going to happen. Sonic is what have been holding SEGA's bars for so long, no way they are ending with it.
