The wait... it's finally over. It has been last year when the project started, and now I am gald to release it.

You can now actually transform into Super Sonic, as it was intended by the developers. In order to do so, you will only be able to if the following conditions are met:

You have finished the game with every character in Adventure Mode to unlock Super Sonic's story;
You have finished Super Sonic's story in Adventure Mode.

Super Sonic is only avaiable in Adventure Mode. So, to play as Super Sonic, go in Adventure Mode, and select 'SUPER SONIC.'

You can only transform into Super Sonic when at an Action Stage, therefore you cannot transform in Adventure Fields.

In order to powerup, "Grab 50 rings and press the Action Button while you jump. You'll transform into Super Sonic! But watch out for your ring consumption." says Tikal in an infamous, unused audio file in SA1/DX If the countdown reaches to 0, the transformation will be reverted, and you'll become regular Sonic back again. You can revert the transformation any time at will, by jumping and pressing the Action Button again.

Sonic is much, much faster when in Super state, especially when he's airborn, therefore, he can definitely break the game. In order to turn things a little more "fair," I added Super Sonic with the ability to walk on water. This idea came along because Perfect Chaos' fight happens on water, so I figured it would only make sense to give this ability to him on levels as well.

Super Sonic has four traits: The invincibility that he naturally posses, the ultra-fast speed, the Bolt Of Lighting Attack that he uses to defeat Perfect Chaos, and the "Jesus" walk on water ability.

Be warry, however, that Super Sonic was not intendend to be playable on the normal levels, so there could be many mechanics that can glitch the game (such as the U-Turns in Speed Highway, to name a few). So, if you happen to find something that impeed your way through, revert your transformation back to regular Sonic again, overcome such obstacle, and then transform back into Super Sonic.

Future releases will be for the fix of such issues.

##############################
# INSTALATION
##############################

1. Place 'sadx.exe' in Sonic Adventure DX PC's installation folder.

2. You'll also need MainMemory's 'sonic - superfix.exe' (if you don't already).
You can find it here: http://x-hax.cultnet.net/MainMemory/sonic%20-%20superfix.rar
Place it in the same folder with 'sadx.exe'

3. Execute 'sadx.exe' to start the game.

A huge thanks for Dude (for his initial development on the Sonic Adventure DX hacking scene), MainMemory (for his initial researches on pointer locations), and Polygom Jim and Aquaslash (for both support and bug-testing).

Didn't MainMemory showed a footage of Super Sonic in Twinkle Circuit last year? But I remember it was quite buggy, because Super Sonic doesn't like Twinkle Circuit nor Ice Cap's snowboarding section sad.png

The first time Super Sonic is something special, since the first time it got implied into a 16-bit hack. Basically, everything said above. =)

I remember looking for the video of this but all of the results I got were the good old windy valley model hack.
I also wonder if there is a super sonic chao.

Amazing hack, I'm having so much fun!

I found something really cool you can do! Go to Ice Cap and turn Super before the snowboarding part. Then homing attack the wood that you break through to start snowboarding. Occasionally you will revert to normal Sonic but keep the Super barrier! Even when your rings drain to 0 you can have fun being Semi-Super Sonic! I love this hack!

This is a known issue, the only things I can recommend are limiting the number of sonic.exe's you have in your sadx folder, and killing all the game processes, and trying again. Endri is working on a fix.

Version 1.1 is now up!

Yes, as Dude mentioned, it's a known issue, and it has been now fixed, along with other small annoyances as well. So, for those who had already downloaded the hack, I strongly recommend to redownload it.

In this version, the following things have been added/fixed:

Version 1.1 Build 100704.

- Added compatibility with Windows 7 - 64 bits;
- Fixed a error that prevented it to run on newer Operational Systems;
- Fixed a small bug that opened thousands of instances of the same executable;
- Fixed a bug that made 'sadx.exe' to run "every" 'sonic.exe' inside the same directory.
