I just spent a looong time playing Aquarium Park Act 4, so I'd tell you if my memory didn't suck, and I just turned off the game.

Okay.

Aquarium Park Act 4.

HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THAT WISP AT THE BEGINNING?

I swear to god that one of the programmers were laughing their ass off when they put that there

Go backwards, down into the water, grab the drill Wisp, then drill into the crates and go through the pipe in the lower-right hand corner of the pool of water.

The programmers were laughing when they realized people won't go to the left of the start point, their mind thinking there's an invisible wall or a death pit there.

Side note: I like how, in Super Sonic, if you get hit just once before getting 50 rings on Planet Wisp act 1 and you burn up what little boost you have, the level is impossible to beat.

Haha, you can see on one of the badnik concept arts that they had the mega drive sprites pasted in as a direct reference. :D

So I decided to do a complete speed run of this game and I achieved 69:15:63. I messed up quite a bit and had a bit of bad luck (On the bosses.) and I should be able to get under an hour soon. I would take a picture but I've been playing with component cables and my capture card only allows for 480i. sad.png

I have a question that was probably already answered. Is Super Sonic playable in all of the DS version's stages?

Nope. But I heard that you get infinite boost for collecting all the red rings. Totally lame, no?

As long as the regular stage music still plays, I'd consider it an improvement. Short looping jingles are the worst.

I beat the game in just under 5 hours.

My opinion is unchanged. Best 3D Sonic game ever made and second best Sonic game ever made.

The final boss being Eggman would have been a nice surprise but the battle was good anyway, although easy. A lot of the boss battles were easy in this game although I guess they were easy in the classic games too. Just wished Eggman had a second form where the second boss music would play instead of the music being somewhat of a pinch form. With a second form, the game would have been the perfect 3D Sonic game, IMO.

The credits were beautiful too.

Now for my 180 Red Ring collection! Also, S-Ranks.

Speaking of S-Ranks, some people didn't get any their first playthrough? I got about 5 but it doesn't seem that hard to get them. The red rings seem to be a bigger ordeal for me (I only got all 5 in two stages my first time through).

Glad to see some real creativity happening again in Sonic environments.

Also, don't have a Wii, probably never will. It's surreal, and almost disbelieving, to see so many people enjoying this 3D Sonic title. It almost makes it seem like people are forcing themselves to like it, but I know the community here enough to know that's not true. Hope to play it someday, would love a port to the 360.

To add a bit more to this post; What exactly does the Egg Shuttle do?

It allows you to play every stage in the main game (45 of them) in order, with cumulative score, rings(!), boost, and overall time. Also, you get a score leaderboard there as well. No Super Sonic, though.

Nope. You can beat it in Super Sonic mode without using Super Sonic at all. Hint: Walljump.

AHAHAHAHA. Argos update -

Looks like the reason they are 'out of stock' is because they are selling the figures seperately for £15. But the figures say 'NOT TO BE SOLD SEPERATELY' on the back of the packaging in big, red letters.

Yep, that's right. The reason Argos have not been sending people the preorder figures is because they have been selling the free figures that were supposed to be sent out to people who preordered

Fuck's sake.

Well this sucks. I borrowed my friends Wii at school so I could play the game as soon as it came out since I left my Wii at home since at the time I didn't think it would be worth bringing to school since I thought nothing good was coming out anytime soon. I was going to copy the data onto an SD card and put it on my Wii when I got home for thanksgiving, only to discover...

you can't move the data. So therefore I have to beat the game again, which is a shame because I got really far. Well, luckily, this is a good game, so I don't mind putting in the extra time. But still everything is more fun once you get all the wisps.

Just like with Brawl, you can download savedata and copy it to your Wii. You just can't move the data you make.
