I just thought this would make the wait less painful. --> emot-ssh.gif<--

If you want more, make sure to help Yuski out getting the rest of the official mangas out there.

Big thanks to Solly again, by the way.

EDIT: Everything works now.

EDIT: Site works now.

Anyway, things I've noticed:

-Prototype pics in the cover.
-Not only blue, but pink Flickies as well (you can get them in game by using the second palette).
-In addition to the regular animals, there's also mice in there.
-Eggman's wrecking ball is not checkered.
-Spring Yard is called Sparkling.
-Star Light is called Star Land.
-Spring Yard boss in Star Light.
-There's a more Metropolis-ish view of Clock Work.
-When curled up in a ball, only Sonic's face can be seen just like in one of Knuckles' lost sprites in Chaotix.

Note that some of these might have been made up specifically for the comic, and could not depict features of earlier prototypes.

I've just made a change of DNS, so it will take longer for some of you depending on where you live, I guess.

Sorry for the inconvenience. =P

Interesting - in the screenshots used as the cover background, there's shots from Spring Yard with its' final background and its' older "Sparkling Zone" background. While that in itself isn't that interesting - it wouldn't be the first time screenshots from different builds have appeared together - but check out the top left one out of the Spring Yard shots. It shows Spikeballs rotating around a bobbin - something we've seen in "Sparkling Zone" magazine shots - but with the final Spring Yard Zone background, suggesting this is from a build where the background had been changed but the object placement not yet been altered to tone down the difficulty.

Also, hah, blue arms. XD

Okay, everything seems to be working now. Go grab 'em.

By the way, you might have noticed it by now but, for some reason, the covers for these comics look different than Yuski's. Perhaps we have a case of prototype comics here? =P

For the record, these have release dates of June and July 1991, I don't know about the others.

EDIT: Regarding Sparkling Zone, it's also interesting how the manga depicts it with searchlights, something that wasn't done until Sonic CD's Stardust Speedway.

Also, no UFOs in Marble. =\
