True, but it must have taken some time and work to make.

Maybe, but it still looks like he's cutting Splash Hill's plastic grass with an invisible lawnmower.

Someone ripped some objects and textures to make this fan-made "gameplay" video. It's pretty cool actually.

There are people saying that this looks better than the actual game.

...What the fuck...

It's cool and all that he was able to throw that together with just some screenshots, but it's definitely not better than the real game.

lol wow that video was rather terrible, it's like the person who made it had to agree in his mind it was worth the time and effort.

:P I thought is was rather interesting, although yes, the layout is bad. It's just really cool that he was able to do that with only ripped objects from screen shots.

Have custom soundtracks been announced? I wouldn't mind listening to the tracks made by Tweaker, Cinossu, myself and Amesuki. Senoue's stuff is plain boring, repetitive and annoying. I'd rather have tracks that have either been enhanced or that are entirely different.

Then again, I'm not going to be able to play this thanks to the lack of a PC version. Ugh.

Now there's something I've been asking myself for a while. Why doesn't a DLG have a PC version? Too many license issues?

Edit: And it seems like a more profitable route than the iPhone.

Every 360 game supports custom soundtracks AFAIK, though you have to switch songs manually.

The PS3 games are a little different, which is what I think SOTI was referring too.

Likely piracy reasons, can't think of anything else.

Note the lack of recognizing other consoles on this thread.

Anyway, if there's a soundtrack of anything, it's going to end up on the internet anyway. v.png

Did Sonic have his arms folded in that video? Either way, it looks atrocious.

The jazz remixes remind me of Bubsy Bobcat music v.png

Not bad - definitely enjoyable.

Maybe, but it would at least be one of the best fan games out there.

Why would you call a game like this fan made?

Would you call Sonic 2, 3, and Knuckles fan games if they weren't made by the same developers?

I'm referring to the jerky-as-hell running animation and total lack of physics, not to mention the EMPTY AND LIFELESS LAYOUT. It's cool as an animation mock-up, but what idiot would call it better than Sonic 4?

It's actually a lot closer to what people are afraid Sonic 4 will be than Sonic 4 is itself!

Now as for the "Sonic 4 looks like a fangame" thing, yeah, I kind of agree. Between the addition of the Homing Attack, the remixing of classic zone themes, the return of old badniks, and the remixing of classic bosses, it does look a lot more like something you'd see in a fangame or fanhack. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, until you start talking about how "it's called Sonic fucking 4," though. So I guess the significance of that aspect to any given person will be proportionate to the significance of the number in the title...
