If you don't know what the Zeebo is, it's this.

At one point their main website (was it their website?) had links to box art's from games which may be coming out, among them was Resident Evil 4 and Sonic Adventure. Now it's been quiet for quite some time but someone over at gaf brought the zeebo back into attention linking to a youtube video of RE4 being played on one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VDxgNWZ4ak

The interesting thing here is that this version of RE4 is 99% the same as the iphone/touch app store version, and that is probably simular to the japanese mobile phone version the other year, but I do know the iphone version had a few updated textures and poly added in.

I then thought about the Sonic Adventure box we seen in the past for the Zeebo and SA1 coming out on xbox live arcade (and psn when confirmed) I started thinking that maybe SA1 is also being ported to the iPhone? it's highly possible because they could use that for both the Zeebo and iPhone if anything like RE4. Just thought I would post what I thought about it all before I forget.

Interesting, I own it on my touch and it's a good rpg, ported from japanese mobiles (yet again) but the developers fully support it and updated it, the 2nd one is out in march too.

SA1 on my touch would be welcome, if they can get the controls correct.

Is SA1 on iPhone/iTouch a possibility?

According to Sega, it can, but I don't buy it.

I'm also pretty sure that the Zeebo can't either, and that's why we haven't seen the Zeebo version.

There's no news about Sonic Adventure on Zeebo. Tectoy (who destributes Zeebo in Brazil) didn't give new info about the game.

There was rumors the IPhone version of Sonic Unleashed was going to receive a convertion for it, since Game Loft is on of the companies that make games fro Zeebo.

I just read this:

Could SA ever fit in just 50MB?

No, SADX pc's exe is 50mb, and that is without the character models, textures, sound, and CGI cut scenes.

The game probably will have many removed stuff such as Cutscenes, Vídeos, Music in HiQuality (probably, MIDI reamke of them) and maybe some characters. I suppose all the story is going to be removed.

Well, personally I don't mind if only Sonic stay on the game. v.png

It's also not going to happen because Zeebo games have about the same level of detail as 3DO games.

50MB? Really? No, seriously, I mean, really/? And I thought the 4GB iPhone was a thing on it's own. The question is, can 50MB of (fixed) internal memory even fit a single game? 50MB can barely fit one game at all, let alone, oh gawd, 8MB. I have a game in my Sony Ericsson that is bigger than 50MB (in fact, it's 108MB). I seriously cannot see this working, unless, of course, we are only getting GBA's quality 3D games.

Then again, I would like to own a Zeebo, if nothing, to play this game, if it was ever released to this platform.

I think I heard Zeebos going to do it cloud computing style by streaming the player's input to the server which is running the game, then streaming the video back, like that onlive service that was announced months back.

Zeebo is other console for emerging markets, I doubt that happens...
the technical specifications of the console are very bad, and the price is not "so" accessible (comparing to PS2 for example)

Pretty sure the Zeebo downloads it's games over 3G, not exactly practical for real time video streaming.
