This is awesome.

In fact, it's inspired me to create my own Sonic X-treme website.

It's shit now, but I'll expand.

Hopefully those were placeholder images for what would've been a redesigned "helper" character. God that thing doesn't fit in.

Same could've been said about Omochao when it was introduced. wink.png

Awesome stuff SS, thanks for releasing this!

Not enough responses yet, this seems like breaking news here. Only curious how upset Chris Senn is if he didn't have any part on this being released.

Not if someone would just make an engine for this. it'd be even cooler if a Saturn programmer took on the task in fact smile.png

OK!

I think this place is familiar to Sonic:

We can see the fisheye camera was a lot more pronounced and the portion loaded from the map was smaller.

Also, both parts of the title card seem to be placed as objects in the map itself:

You image isn't working, I was able to get it to show up by going to the URL, http://localhostr.com/files/730c81/capture.png

This is a much bigger release than I thought it was.

Maybe this could do with a note on the front page? This definitely should be getting more attention from the community than it is.

Hmmm, could those weird "hint characters" be Mips? According to Chris Senn's Sonic X-Treme website, "Mips were the replacement for Flickies. Each zone had a unique design of Mip, with it's own color and movement."

Secondly, though I have no idea what I'm talking about, what could be done if we combined the stuff Scarred Sun just gave us with the Sonic X-Treme test field that was leaked earlier? Could that be a basis for a working engine?

Nice to see this out there. I'm not sure if Chris will approve as from what I gather Ofer did not want this into circulation.

Somone should document what all the maps are, I started a couple of years ago but gave up... will try and find how far I got.
