Empire city and Adabat aren't out on the UE PS store :'(
It makes me upset. anyway I got sonic unleashed (PS3) for £20 at the end of last year and I'm loving it! I basically paid for the good half of the game (seeing as most games retail for £40 here) if its going cheap I say get it :P |

PS3 version used is going for $17.99. Also, for the DLC packs, may I recommend Empire City and Adabat? That's a great pack, IMO. Do note, those are the hardest normal stages since they're the last two. Another note: you can't play the DLC stages until you clear the continent they belong to. Really, savebuying them until after you beat the game. At Gamestop it's new for $20 and the second closest one to me has it. I hope I can get it today. And I know I'm not going to get the DLC for a while as I'd like to buy a 12-string electric guitar and spending $20 seems like enough for now. Then again, I won't beat it for a while so I might end up buying it if I think I have copious cash to spare. Edit: Ah well, Gamestop's closed. But they do have it. The PS360 versions of Unleashed is pure win. Also, if you cringe at the English voices, you can change them to Japanese. Sonic Team have finally bowed to the majority of people who wanted the Japanese voices restored. I personally do like the English voices, but the Japanese voices are a lot better, and Chip sounds extremely adorable in Japanese.
The Hub Worlds are awesome, something the WiiS2 versions lack. More interactivity and additional locations. Mazuri actually gets its own levels, as opposed to the WiiS2 only using it for the 1st boss. Empire City is another new location. One thing I did like about the WiiS2 versions though, were the Gaia Temples. But that's just me. =P |

New, that's a fucking steal. Used, that's a fucking good deal. The game is still worthy of a £30 I say.

Sorta related, did I get a decent deal here? Bought Unleashed for £12.99 on X360, from Game. I would say so. I saw it for £12 in Asda not long ago though. (I think the price has gone back up now) I got the 360 version for £19.99 around the time it was released because it was one of GameStation's offers of the week. At the time I felt that it was an amazing deal, and still feel that. I didn't even have a 360 when I bought Unleashed... I had to wait until Christmas to play it. EDIT: It may have actually been £14.99 that I paid for my copy now that I think about it. This post has been edited by Graxer: Nov 2 2009, 06:39 PM |

Honestly, I don't at all regret my $65 purchase of the game, I really enjoyed it. The speed levels were some of the best Sonic has to offer (In my opinion, at least, I know it isn't a popular one), and the beat 'em up levels were pretty fun as well. Not the greatest game, but a fun game with good replay value, probably my favorite 3D Sonic game yet.

Yeah, third-party titles tank in price pretty fast. First Parties tend to keep buoyancy, short of being slapped into a Million Seller's club of some sort (Platinum Hits or Greatest Hits. Nintendo doesn't seem to want to revive Player's Choice.)

I've bought Unleashed twice now, bought the 360 version on release for full price, then after my 360 died, I bought the PS3 version on sale for $20 (during Gamestop's Summer of Savings)

Hey all! I got it yesterday (my mom was nice enough to get it for me during school with my allowance money) and I couldn't post because I was way too addicted and my brother was being a computer whore as usual.
The verdict? Win. It's frickin' amazing. The werehog levels weren't nearly as bad as I thought, but the music is fucking terrible. Gotta go play now. Peace my friends. This question is solved so unless moar people have the same question I guess it could be closed. Not that it's my decision. |

I think what Nintendo is trying to do with the Wii's pricing scheme is to try and make more of their games be slow burners, which I have to agree with. I was never a fan of the big hyped release followed by the game dropping off the charts three weeks later scheme that most other companies seem to go for. Ideally, making games might become a profession that does not regularly involve such long hours. |

I have to say after hearing all this stuff about unleashed even here, I really have to wonder wtf some were thinking when they said Sonic Team *wasn't trying/fucked up* with this game. I've yet to play this game because I don't have a ps3 yet and im not going to bother with a watered down version. For something that was the new Sonic Team's first game (?) and first use of a brand new engine, it really sounds like the series is starting to pick back up from this game.
