After watching Tweaker's play through, I find it bewildering that he does not agree with me.
I don't! I may have run into a few cheap shots here and there, but that same kind of stuff happens
whenever I play a Sonic game. Me getting pissed at flinging myself into things without foresight or the occasional design flaw doesn't make me irrationally hate the game—it just makes me want to improve my skill to make sure it doesn't happen again.
I have a
ton of fun every time I play Sonic Boom, and at the end of the day, that's really the most vital quality that makes it so brilliant in my view. Seldom do I find games—let alone hacks—that I just
enjoy anymore. It's original, it's well put-together, and it radiates the kind of quality and hard work that, quite frankly, I have never seen to such an extent anywhere else in this community in a very, very long time.
Like it or not, Sonic Boom excels at what it does; if you don't like what it does, that's perfectly fine, but at the end of the day, to say it's badly designed is just to delude yourself and everyone else horribly. This hack deserves better than that and so do the people who literally poured their blood, sweat, and tears into it.
