Tongara and x64 are the very reason I never use Skype anymore. They try to lure me to Skype just so they can scream their catchphrase in my face, giving me a proverbial fucking spit shower. x64 even tries to scream it in my face in AIM.

They are also the reason why I never use Skype anymore. But mainly because they got my phone number and threatened to call my house if I didn't do what they wanted, when they wanted.

I didn't really concern myself with the whole password changing thing. I mean, why would they want MY account? I don't have any close friends here to harass (although I wish I did, if anyone wants to be my friend hit me up on MSN or IRC wink.png ), I've never buried myself into drama (actually, I've read about all the drama here since 2005 yet never actually involved myself in it), and I don't have any extra forum privileges to abuse. However, after reading a second warning about password changes, I'm starting to get a little shaky about exactly how passwords were acquired, because I use the same password and usually the same username for every online thing I sign up for. I'm not worried about my SonicRetro account being hacked, but I'm sorta worried about my emails, other forum identities, and worst of all, my eBay and paypal accounts.

I'd say you're fine at the moment, but that little admission isn't exactly a genius idea when there's a known password database floating around, no matter WHO'S got it. Change all your passwords that are shared with Retro NOW.

I can but the fact is I'll still be in contact if another retard invites him onto the conference and there usually is one of those fucking retards that does this all for lulz and to royaly piss off people like me by going against my word. Of course I'm kind of low on the food chain to give any orders like that so nobody ever listens to me. Nobody ever listens to me when I predict a potential problem (hasn't happened here yet but it will one day. I can guarantee it.)

*jumps out window for hell of it but is disappointed to find out he lives in a one story house*

The problem is that x64 likes to create billions of accounts to harass you with if AIM is any indicatino. And even with that, blocks don't do much if they keep having their buttbuddies invite you to a conversation, which you can't preemptively decline.

At first this might seem very sincere, but the thing is I've seen these words before. These are similar to words he's told people such as Tweaker to get them to stay friends with him, and then he's turned on them. Despite what he may say about how he took the moral high road he and harrosin are the ones that told peter to buy that cart mentioned in the oldbie lounge. Peter was skeptical at first, but was being pushed by x64 and harrosin which is why he left them.

Exactly. This, this, a thousand times this.

Exactly what I said in my previous post. I'd love to ban all of his buttbuddies' asses just for supporting him and convince everyone who isn't one to remove him and his butt buddies from their Skype contacts lists. However, I'm not the one calling the shots around here and its impossible to fully erraticate them anyway.

But I rest my case. As long as people's contacts still have x64 in their contacts, no one is safe to get onto Skype.

Would I still be safe if I had my username changed earlier?

And yes, I changed my password earlier, thanks for the heads-up...

As long as someone could figure out your old username, then they would still know your password. <_<

The simplest and fastest method to staying secure is to just use a good password.

A simple way to check if a password is secure is to use a Password Checker.
