FWIW I don't think much was added to Unleashed by including 3D segments. I suppose designing a playable 2D level is a lot easier, but I'm not convinced they'll actually accomplish what this teaser suggests they are set out to do.

A thrilling mystery!

HOLY SHIT.
Oh my god, I just fucking came. Finally, something we actually want! I just hope they know how to work out the classic level design and such, because that's going to be a challenge I'm pretty sure they won't be able to live up to. |

When I read the title I was like FFFFFF. I knew EXACTLY what it meant before I clicked.
Didn't way back there was a psychic that talked about something like this when asked about it? |

I'll wait for screenshots... Technically, Sonic Advance 2 was a new 2D game, and that sucked.
Nice to know they're actually paying attention to 2D, anyway. |

Amazing! Astounding!

What's with the silhouette at the end looking more like ChimpoQ than it does Sonic?
Theory out of my ass: official 'origins' story. I do like the rings in '2010' though. |

OH MY GOD.
That was the best Sonic Trailer I've seen in the last 5 years. My question: Is it going to be completely 2D, or like Unleashed with 3D models but in a 2D perspective? (and, btw, the 2010 rings, brilliant.) This post has been edited by CyberKitsune: Sep 8 2009, 10:00 PM |

I wonder if they'll decide to restrict their profits by not publishing this game for Wii, like they did with Sonic'06. (Not that releasing '06 on Wii would have helped it much.)

My question: Is it going to be completely 2D, or like Unleashed with 3D models but in a 2D perspective? I imagine it means 2D... because, you know, it said 2D. Why would we know that, anyway? This is news to all of us. It better have more then one character... Sonic 1 didn't need more than one character to kick ass. Rationale, please? |

I don't know what to think about this. On one hand, it sounds good. 2D Sonic? Hellz yeah.
But on the other, I can't help but remain skeptical. I guess I won't know until more concrete info shows up. And I definitely won't know until it's actually released. Here's hoping you don't screw up though Sega. I really, really do hope you guys get this done right. |

This had better not be another remake of the first one. Wasn't it codenamed Project Needlemouse as well? |
