Ah bugger, I thought there'd be glitches, I only tested EHZ1 since I was tired. :\ Anywho I finally got around to hacking S3k. Here's the rom, and next I feel like tackling Sonic CD and seeing if I could implement this into it. ;)

I just wanted to say that you're awesome and just took out my biggest problem with S3K and that it made me insanely happy, thanks for taking the amount of time out of your day to do this, it makes a world of difference. :D

Hey no problem. Only took me a few minutes and I had fun making it. ^_^ I think you're going to appreciate this next one, because this time I hacked Sonic CD. There's no time limit, and like before no time bonus. :v: Anyway you'll need a japanese bios since I hacked that, I'll even hack the US and EUR versions for those who don't wish to play on an emulator, but rather on actual hardware. But for now enjoy the Japanese hack. :) (On that note, my previous hack was a fail, because I cleared the flag that locks the game until the title card is done, so you can control Sonic before the title card sequence is finished. >.>)

Said I'd do it. And I did.

This is just the sprites that were included in Techokami's (?)sprite rip (not even rotations). Hopefully when I'm done, we'll have a lot more walking billboards than just Sonic.

Add the Vapor screen, the new title screen, as Nike ads in the game and the missing sprites (Sonic 4 Soundtrack for bonus awesomeness) and you have the perfect Nike Vapor hack for yourself.
So far, I really like it. Sprite fits in perfectly.

Nice! It's cool to see someone using my rips :)
Sadly, what you see is what you get in that rip. Rotations? Use rotsprite. Other animations? Gotta make them yourself because they don't exist in that flash game.

Would it be possible to add that sweet starting pose Sonic makes at the very beginning of the stage? I really, really love that one.

All this rotsprite talk just made me wonder if anyone has made a hack of any of the games where Sonic has more angle iterations, smoothing out the rotation so its not just a chunky eight direction.

Ah yes I remember Pana. He did do it with that, but I mean the original games where the extra angle sprites are basically the only change.

I know you don't usually prefer people do requests from ideas, but I've been watching some of those pretty neat 'Auto-Mario' YouTube clips, and I think it could technically be quite "easy" to make a Sonic version of this - considering just how many speed and bounce pads there are in Sonic which could be used to make Sonic move without even touching the controls!

Do it to some music, and it'd be fun to watch :)

Holy shit that's brilliant why hasn't it been done SOMEBODY DO IT.
Thinking about it there's a lot more interesting possibilities given the dimensions of movement physics in Sonic that are lacking in the ever linear platformer that is SMW. Man it would be fun (and challenging as fuck) to try making an auto-Sonic... that works.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you put Sonic and Tails' Sonic Adventure movesets in Sonic 2? Sonic 2 Adventure Control hopes to answer that question.

This is quite interesting! Though I have to wonder why Tails has no Tail-Spin/Rhythm Badge Attack. Did you feel that it was unnecessary?

Either way I'll probably give it a spin later after work.

I'd have to find proper sprites, and I'm not entirely sure how to replicate Tails'... unique physics when you go off a ramp while attacking.

As for sprites, I can help you with that. I have Tail Spin sprites that I'm looking to use for my fangame. Ill send them to you... but I must recover my files first.
