Well, it's almost a month old today, but here it is.

SCDPlay 0.2

I figured posting it also here would be good, as I also have to repost it back on RetroHack.

Quick description for it: it plays the STM (video) files on your Sonic CD iso, in their original format.
Much better than the ruined versions which ship with Sonic CD PC.

Updated to version 0.2. 8/5/2009.

Huh, neat. I tested it with three files. The opening played perfectly, the Pencil test didn't play, and the good ending played but messed up after the screen shrinks.

I never knew the EU/JP version had sound effects at the beginning! I have only ever played the PC and Gems Collection versions before, so I was used to the US version. Clever piece of software! Its a shame it messes up when the credits appear though. It also cant play the pencil test.

sweet, this is fantastic, ok yeah it does glitch abit when the credits appear on the end clips for Sonic CD, but this is awesome, would this work for any other games that may have clips in them?

I highly doubt that video file format used in Sonic CD is used in other MCD games.... I really haven't looked...

Shibunoa's program is nicer than mine :)
