I got a wierd sonic 1 cart today at a store in my town. I think it is the sonic one betaa. there is only green hill zone in the game, is it a betaa? I can take pictures if you need it.

OMG.
On the basis of those badly taken photographs, you might well have a beta. See if you can get hold of an EEPROM reader and dump the contents of the ROM in binary format (a good EEPROM reader should let you do that). Then upload the file to some webspace and post the link.

Okay...
Inside the cartridge there are lots of things, but the main thing is a chip called the ROM. This contains everything about the game. An EEPROM reader will take what's on that chip and put it on a computer.
Where do you live? If you're anywhere near me you could send it to me and my father can do that.

no point in explaining......the poor guy did not know what one one was to start with.........
you might as well of said 'I'll give you 50 quid for it then I'll dump the rom for all to play!'

That's true, but it would be easier for him to send it to me so I could dump it since I know where an EEPROM reader is than for him to search for an EEPROM reader where there may not be one.
