I don't mean to be the dick, but all of your level art and badnik designs are pretty awful. They're just garbled messes of pixels with no real texture or clarity. I applaud the effort, but you've got a long ways to go.

I thought this was a joke topic at first. Honestly dude...I love that you didn't start off with the typical pallete hacks, but you should study the official art some more before bustin out your shit.

Some people can draw art because they have the skill. Where as others don't making it harder for them. I'm one of those people and I find that over time with things I have improved and some not. Thats why some people tend to get others to help them, because art isn't their strongest point. Hanoc, keep trying and improving, and you know I will keep helping you when I can smile.png .

I wil gladly help you with any art related stuff as its my main strongpoint. But about you badnik.... I like the design you have for it. But as its been said above, it looks like a jarbbled mess. Try erasing every thing but an outline and try different types of shading, then add on the textures or patterns, don't worry about the number of times you might screw up, its going to happen alot when your improving skills.

It looks good in terms of shape detail, but there's very little contrast in the colours. When it's moving, it's just going to look like a mish of orangey-brown going past. Could you darken the trees, and make the background ground (with the waterfalls) some colour other than that orange-brown? I think it'd look good with some slight colour changes.

I have to agree with DigitalDuck, but it's a fantastic start! Better than I could do.

May I presume?

It's a good idea in theory, but as you can see, you'll need to adjust the palettes so that the foreground and background fit one another better.

A "hot" palette could be better than the Mystic Cave's default colors.
