Shame there's not much you can do about the blurry background though. Damn you SADX

You can do pretty much whatever you want with the background in SADX? It's just a giant dome with a texture on it, you can replace both the model and texture.

well I was thinking on put a sky texture on the background, high-resolution of course, and then make a small dome, or just a half, for other decorations, like islands or mountains, if I'm right the radius difference (of the domes), when the camera moves, will make an effect similar to the original background on GHZ

Just what says in that post. Enjoy the little effect I did. Moreover, I will post a video of a level soon.

After I saw this, I decided I would give this a try in Sonic 2.

Been planning to try this for a while, DeoxysKyogre's attempt made me get off my ass and actually try it.

Not bad at all, dude. I love the way you've done it, and it's great to also see this in Sonic 2.

As for my hack:

You may have seen other zone art concepts in SSRG's message board I've done which Estlib perhaps improved, and here's other one. One thing I want to leave clear is that no one of you but Egg Team are allowed in any way to use this. Well, that said, enjoy!

is GHZ for SADX completely in 2D, that classic Sonic is over Tails the only thing he can do is jump, run and spin roll

I've been thinking about doing something like this for a long time, but I can't get sadxlvl or sadxlvl2 to work at all on any of my computers.

I have found new methods of modeling things though, so maybe sometime in the future I'll try again. I like your ghz, it looks like it's off to a good start. Are you using invisible walls to keep sonic restricted to a plane?

I posted level maps and screenshots for this project, now have a trailer. I showed off some pretty cool secrets, which may make people question why I included those secrets at all if I'm gonna show them, but I just want to ensure that secrets are important to me.

And yes, naming it "Sonic 2: A New Adventure: and using Sonic Rush Adventure's theme song, "A New Venture" was on purpose.

This was for SSRG, but why not posting here too?

Quote

- The title screen BG is a placeholder, just don't ask
- No, I don't have Cream data yet, it's just a profile pic only
- "OMG DOUBLE SONIC", I was testing something on Tails (the object $02, I want to save rom space and time)
- I know, I know... the level is too empty, I'll put more enemies (or more randomness) later.

Guys, I know both threads have the same name, but please try to keep fangames in the fangame thread, and hacks in the hack thread. This is the third time I've had to move posts from these threads in as many days.

I've been experimenting with the S3 disassembly a bit, it's still early stages so far but I've at least made some progress. I'll leave you with this very subtle teaser:

hello there Retro, I want to show something that really bother me, because is about one of my favorite characters, Metalsonic. As many of you know, in Sonic Adventure Metalsonic Does a few cameos like in amy flashback and the CryoTube, but in SADX is a unlockable character (just a sonic skin). I really want to know why in the remake of the game they didn't use the CryoTube model instead of the actual SADX model, you can compare yourself. Enjoy

also a Video, and a random boss fight at the end:

My guess is that its because the model on the Right is a model closer to the geometries Sonic's SADX model, making it easier to use as a 'skin'.

Also, wouldn't this go in The Supreme Topic of Other Knowledge?
