EDIT: Also, it sounds like sega basically went in and rebuild Sonic team from the ground up. Why the hell didn't they plunder the Sonic community? We know Sonic better than they do.

Because like it or not, the 'Sonic Community' stretches far beyond us. The 'sonic community' at large, as it is best known, consists of rabid shaodw fanboy/girls and seven year olds. Just because we disregard them as if the 'community' is some sort of exclusive club. doesn't mean the rest of the world does. So basically, Chimpo's post sums it up.

Moving on though, I can't help but be excited at this point. This really sounds like it's going to be 'the one'. (Even Sonic 06, which looked good at first, I had major doubts about.)

Edit: Sorry Cooljerk, that one was me. I was thirteen, I've since turned away from the dark side. Or turned to it. However you want to view Retro and not being a raging n00bzorz.
