Looks like Archie has decided to bring back their old comics (and new) virtually. A number of back issues of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic Universe are now available for purchase on iTunes. Each issue costs $0.99 and looks to be set up so panels fit the screen (resulting in about 60~ pages per issue).

    Issues available -

Sonic the Hedgehog Mini-series (before the comic started fully) -
Sonic the Hedgehog #0 (known for showing Sally as a blonde)
    Sonic the Hedgehog #1
    Sonic the Hedgehog #2
    Sonic the Hedgehog #3

    Sonic the Hedgehog #100
    Sonic the Hedgehog #101
    Sonic the Hedgehog #102

    Sonic Universe #1
    Sonic Universe #2
    Sonic Universe #3
Issue 4 hasn't been released yet, but as it is the last part of the Shadow saga, I wouldn't be surprised if it is soon.

Interesting. But I like this site better:

    tails.kicks-ass.net

It's uploaded most if not all the comics pretty much up to date (They're possibly an issue behind right now, I don't know if issue 208 is out yet though)

There's still Sonic the Comic Online! It carries on the Sonic the Comic series and does a pretty good job at it.

Yes yes I know, I'm even trying to enter staff. But I can't help but wonder what would happen if Nigel Kitching had been allowed to continue. Better yet, If SEGA forced Archie to continue Fleetway with Nigel Kitching at it's helm.

What is it with you and horrifically terrible ideas? Don't rock the boat, pal.

Just because his opinion doesn't match yours doesn't mean it's a bad idea.
I just read some small stuff of fleetway but I can say, "for an alternative universe it's not bad" and this almost describes every Sonic media, even Satam or Archie comics.

No no no but he is right. The sheer fact Archie would be heading it, in the US, would ruin a lot of the comic. I feel the comic has to be done in Britain if only so thay can do things like writing Tails and Mighty's father as gay and not have angry parents bellowing at them.

With any amount of good work anyone can do it right. The on-line one it's an possible example.
    Oh and BTW....
... Archie Rotor is gay... :ssh:

    ... I'll just do a new thread.

  12. Man, all of you should buy this. Maybe if they get more revenue, they'll be able to pass more on to the creative staff!

Then maybe I'll get a raise!

    ...or not. :(

Their reader would have to be quite a bit better than Comic Book Mobi, my iphone comic reader of choice. It's perfection - it even has a feature where you can touch a word balloon or text block and it'll enlarge while keeping the rest of the screen the same resolution, and it remembers orientation and screen scaling.

    Great app.

Very cool. I was just thinking this morning that Archie should do this.

  15. Archie is also selling slim paperback archive books for about $8 each. Amazon.com has them and I've seen them in Barnes N Noble stores. Personally I would want a physical copy instead of an iPhone app.

On that same note, Archive 12 just came out (issues 45-48).

I checked out this application, issue 0 to be exact. I'm quite impressed with the quality of how it was done, and the way the panels were placed. You don't have to move the page or resize it, they set up everything to appear on the screen without the need for reorientation. Overall, it's not bad, and good for a read if you're bored. At 99 cents, you can't complain either.

If anybody wants to download them, looks like you won't be able to for now. The Sonic comics have been removed yet again. Judging by what they did before, they'll likely be back up in some time.
