    There have been no revisions made to the art we put out for reference.

    The door is not done. While MDM has done a great job with his concept, I still want to see one that uses more segments on the left side like I described earlier.

    The lava shouldn't even be worked on by us, except for mockups. Just picture how big of a b**** it would be to animate. I mean, shouldn't someone just program a shader that does the lava procedurally? That would save a LOT of time.

    I assumed it was going to be. I remember someone saying that was how it was going to be done in one of the archived topics.

    I suggested awhile back that we use palette swapping on the lava, which was a well-received idea, if I recall.

    I tried to animate it, but I couldn't figure out how to animate with existing smart objects. So it just sits there. :/

    I'm assuming the gears on top only move when the door is going up or down?

    It looks basically perfect to me. I'd just like to see less blue on the the lava windows.

    Just a couple things that might help it blend in to the environment some more and a minor personal taste adaptation (the blocks on the left). Notice the little stand on the left bottom corner.

    I'm not too sure about the stand or the fuse box, but I do love the sleeve or whatever it is that would go on the ceiling.

    I think the fuse-box is a good idea. Adds a level of realism to the door.

    I thought so too, until I imagined it in place. It would kind of look like it's just floating there.

    Something tells me it'll require a little more than just darkening it. It's not even shown how it connects to the top piece. The whole thing is just a silhouette right now.

    It's just a concept. It would be bigger, darker and use fatter wiring attached to the box and machinery. It will appear attached to the background, hence what I mean with blending in with the environment. I didn't just put it there, I can imagine it vividly and fitting very well.

    So that basic checker pattern in the background of the cavern in that mockup is not actually the background is it?

    Kind of a silly question I guess. Yeah I can imagine the little box thing working if it's nice and subtle. The checker pattern in the background might make it awkward to blend into though (I think there's too much contrast between the squares in that mockup - it looks too busy).

    I mean, seeing as we're making mockups to judge what the door will look like against the other level art... we may as well consider what that other level art may actually look like. Especially colour/brightness-wise.

    Just a thought!

    No, the checkered wall is not part of the background, though it is in the back part of the foreground. I guess it's a pseudo background.

    I just think that a little box could be in danger of getting lost amongst the checkers.

    I'd like to thank everyone for the concepts and ideas presented for HTZ. Your efforts have played a large role in there being the opportunity for more than one zone in the first release. I can't guarantee HTZ will be in it yet, but we have high hopes for it.
