I would think that he knows it's a pre-release version of some kind as he clearly said it has stuff not in the final, so it could be a build just months before release with a few changes visually like spring yard sparking stuff.

Even if we never see it or this version of the game never comes to light at least we sort of know one exists and that's nice to think about by itself.

Wow, just watched the video! I hope this can be resolved. It'd be very interesting to get that dumped. All I can say is best of luck to evilhamwizard and drx on it really, the best guys for the job no doubt.

Based on the photos that John cut into the video, I was assuming it's probably the build used for those magazine shots. (So Sparkling Zone, like you said)

Is DRX or evilhamwizard able to go into more detail on why its randomly locked away in storage or is it one of those situations where the less we know the better?

The video mentions the guy who knows where it is "has issues with his Dad" and can't access the storage unit as a result. I'd say make your own deductions from there, but I think it's best to respect their privacy, even if a Sonic 1 beta cartridge is at question.

Meh, it's probably bit-rotted to death by now, so... Too late?

If we're lucky enough to see it actually working, it'll be disappointing AF.

The REAL Sonic 1 Beta is in all of us and always has been. :specialed:
