I thought you all might find this interesting. It's drawn and signed by Ohshima. The seller says he won it at an auction a few years ago. It's a pretty sweet bit of old Sonic art.

Wish I could afford it. If anybody here feels like dropping $700+ on it, you can purchase it through one-jp.

Can't quite remember but I think it had something to do with an Sonic art restoration project topic here.

Anyways, this may be fake according to a few members discussing this on SSMB:

it's fake, these things are easy to fake on Yahoo since it's known for legit listings so people believe it's real when its just been printed off from the internet and put behind a nice frame to look legit, apparently this image was drawn by Naoto as a thank you for supporting him on Twitter, since then there's been records of people trying to fake this image and sell it as an original at ridiculous prices.

Like I said, may be fake because I haven't been sourced a link yet to see if this is real or a scam.

Wait wait wait. Drawn by Ohshima as thanks for twitter support? The drawing is clearly dated 1995...

edit: and for what it's worth, this seller has 218 positives and only one negative. I'd be hard pressed to call this fake. Could you provide a link to this SSBM thread?

Well heres my statuses discussing it:

And after some sifting I found the topic they were discussing this:
http://board.sonicst...100#entry528805

Starts from there. but it is an Auction General so the discussion isn't consistant.

Wait, Naoto has a Twitter account? If so, I might be able to dig up the image on his account and see if that's the case.

No eyebrows in the auctioned drawing?

But then again, I don't think I've seen many people making O's like that, and that's consistent between his drawings and this one...
