Okay, I know the controversy over Sonic R, but fuck that.
I installed Sonic R on my old XP and got it running. Now the issue.
After the Gfx mode select, it proceeds to the start screen, and once I hit Enter, guess what's selectable?
Options. That's it. Everything else is X'ed.
I've checked all the settings, and I don't know what's wrong. It plays, I've seen the demo play just fine. I've eoen gotten it to run on my Win7's VirtualBox, and on there, it works PERFECTLY.
If anyone knows why, please reply.

It's the antipiracy.
If that were the case, wouldn't it lock out on VirtualBox?
EDIT: What's the chance I could just edit something in a file?

Going way back to when I was little, I remember this is what happened when you had no-cd inserted. So it's either that or anti-piracy.

Sudden theory, must test.
My theory was correct.
VirtualBox mounts ISOs to its default drive, D: which was not the method on my computer. As it was an ISO, DAEMON Tools was mounting to I: instead. I rebooted, disabled my disc drive via BIOS, and swapped my virtual drive to D: and now, it's working fine.

Uh-oh! Someone didn't give proper thought to “What To Consider In Posting” and will now have to suffer dem “reprecussions”. This despite apparently being so
vigilant .
