Hi all,
I recently aquired a TV which I'll have in my room for at least a week, meaning I can test some ROMs on hardware (up to 4MB/32Mbit) using my Double Pro Fighter!
Though from what I understand most of the "major" projects already have the ability to test on hardware, I figured I might be able to help out with those of you who don't have this avaliable.
I am also investigating the possibility of an automated service, where people can queue to use the copier, and get a video out streamed into their web browser, though the main difficulty I can forsee is relaying controls to the genesis while the parallel port is also in use by the copier, though I do have a USB->Parallel cable... so maybe I'll be able to figure something out! Would be pretty neat, but I probably won't be able to sort that out any time soon.
So yeah let me know

I am not sure If my hack would work on real hardware, given the addition of the S1 sound driver port and other such things. But I might be interested in this.

Like I said on IRC, why don't you try Mr. Needlemouse & Sonik the Rabbit: BACK IN AKSHUN?

Actually, I WOULD like to see if Mr. Needlemouse runs on real hardware, but what's currently released is just a sprite hack, that's not much different from the original, so it most likely probably WILL work... Though I'm by far no expert on hardware and hacking, so don't let me tell you if it will work or not! =P

I could do that, but it's awful messy in the state that it's in. I'll see if I can whip something up though...

Sounds good, I'd be more than happy to test anything really.

Hey, as the initial post of mine got deleted, first off...

IDEA STEALER.
Second,
You could do something with the controls really. There's a specific driver that allows the serial (or was it parallel with an adapter?...) port to communicate with SEGA Gamepads. Now if you get this to output, and kinda have a virtual serial port for the INPUT, you might just get it to work
greetings,

You poor british people and your difficulty getting tvs! They practically grow on trees here. You can get a nice color tv at the trift store for like $20.

Er... why did you think I had difficulty getting a TV? I actually got this 20" one for free, and there are tons on Freecycle. I was just without a tv for a month because the person I was living with was a douche and took our last one without paying us our money that we chipped in back. I only bothered to look recently because I felt like playing some megadrive.
I just only have it in my room for a week because I'm going to move it downstairs, I'm going to try and get another smaller one off freecycle

If I can get mine fixed, as it is buggered beyond belief (GHZ totally screwed after moving all the unused objects to the bottom right hand corner and changing their values to 00 00 00), I'll volunteer my hack for testing it out.

you know, you can double-right click objects to get rid of them.

Now there's something I didn't know. Thanks for that

.
Edit: Doesn't seem to work with my SonED, then again, I am running an older version.
