Considering how long vowels are made (in hiragana they just repeat the vowel sound, in katakana they use the dash), should be "kuu".

Ah, I see; thanks. I also see that Hepburn says it should be zu =P

http://sega.jp/cgi-b...w=11&fw=&sort=2 this says there was a Sakura Taisen on PC in 1994
http://game.sakura-t...e/sakura_1.html this one says there wasn't
Who is right?

Also would 空牙 be "Kuuga" or "Kuhga" ? Or is that just differing romanization types?

I have disc images for all 4 games here somewhere, so it almost certainly must be true.

Huh, could you provide more information on what you have?

Is the romanization of サクラ大戦V ~さらば愛しき人よ~ "Sakura Taisen V: Saraba, Itoshiki Hito yo"?

On Sega of Japan's catalogue pages for the non-Sega consoles, there are a bunch of games listed as "partner" that Sega isn't listed as a publisher of (example: Milestone's ports, the 3DS version of BlazBlue Continuum Shift II, the Wii version of Codemasters's F1 2009, MadWorld (which was published by Spike in Japan)). The pages say "※パートナーズは、他社ブランド商品となります". Does this mean they are the distributor, the publisher, involved with the development, or something else? It sounds like the Japanese text is just a captain obvious "this means third party"...

This would appear to be the box art to each version.

Found that here: http://bit.ly/p3fJW9

Oh, I knew about the PC release; I was saying Sega says there was one in 1994, but the Sakura Taisen site says it was 2000. What does your disk image say?

On another thought, I should probably see what the PC list says were released on PC, because I'm seeing things that I don't recognize from what we have on the franchise template...

The PC Sakura Taisen currently up on Sega Retro I believe is the 1994 release. It has one of those green Sega ratings, and those were phased out before 2000.

The one in Muteki's post says "DVD-ROM". But it also says Windows Vista and has newer CERO ratings. So I'm guessing it's an even later re-release than the 2000 one.

Huh, so there was a 1994 PC game and it isn't on Sakura Taisen's website... and DI guess that means the series started on PC :| but who knows

Also on the website: two Game Boy Color games, lol

Not a request, but while adding the TGS stuff to the 3DS page on Sega Retro I noticed two peculiar things:

http://tgs.sega.jp/2...ineup/sims_pets
http://tgs.sega.jp/2...eup/nfs_the_run

The Sims 3 Pets and Need for Speed: The Run, which are EA titles with Sega as partners.

Does this mean EA has come back to Sega? =P

EDIT MORE

http://tgs.sega.jp/2...up/battlefield3 Battlefield 3

http://tgs.sega.jp/2...eup/mass_efect3 Mass Effect 3

well FUCK

Did F-Zero AX come out before, at the same time as, or after F-Zero GX? (at least in Japan, where I have a release date of 25 July 2003 for GX, which is before the 25 August 2003 release for the US; neither Sega of Japan nor Nintendo of Japan mention the release month (hell, Nintendo of Japan doesn't even list AX on their site; only GX!))

AX definitely came out after GX in America. There's a flyer in my GX box for AX that says "Coming this September!" (I believe it was September, I'll check when I get home)
EDIT: Confirmed. Also, it's in the back of the manual. It says "Launching September 2003! Visit f-zero.jp for details." No exact date, though.

On Saturn:

JP - Chaos Control - no Virtua Gun
EU - Chaos Control - Virtua Gun
JP - Chaos Control Remix - Virtua Gun

Does this indicate that the EU Chaos Control is actually Chaos Control Remix, or that there are three different versions of the game?

OK different question: I have a JP Saturn game with a spinecard, but the store I got it from put the price tag sticker on the spinecard. How do I remove it without damaging the card?
