Jump (8 Frames Sonic excluding ball)Posted Image
Seeing as the walking/jogging got a much needed frame-count update, I thought the jump could do with one too. Rotated 45-degree frames are in, and I flipped (and duplicated for smoothness) the ball frame as the shading looked odd the other way around.

Oops, you guys forgot to add the shine to the other jumping frames. Something like this:

I left it out as I used the ball with shine every two frames, so it kinda worked in with it anyway.

Is the jittery nature of this animation an intentional trait? If not, I'll put forth the effort to better sync the frames if needed.

Sorry if this sucks, I'm pretty new to this.
The shine on the 'BALL' frame looked just like a flashing white circle, so I dulled it down a bit.

Also how do I add the .Gal files to my post?

you can upload them to a hosting place such as Fileden, and then paste the link here.

http://resnet.wm.edu/~amkearns/S4pixlz/BASE.gal.

Mainly the middle spike, though I'm not 100% satisfied with it yet.

Does the free version of GG allow for GIF exporting? It doesn't seem to allow it on my copy.

I don't mean to be rude (as I haven't kept in touch with this section for a while), but aren't we having an actual running animation? As it's not on either list.

We are, it's just not in it. Chimpo probably just forgot about putting that animation on the list.

I simply forgot. Don't make a fuss over it.

I wanted it to have a bit of jitter, however I took the cheap route and did a 1x1 pixel shrinkage. If someone else wants to do a proper touch up, thehy're more than welcomed to. That's why the Gal file has been provided after all.

I think it looks great the way it is. The jumping makes it seem like Sonic's ready to blast off from his spindash.

To me the first thing that sprang to mind was when you wheel spin a car, you get a bit of a jittery feeling as the tyre skips off the tarmac and tries to find grip
