For the sake of more uniform integration and general annoyance with the system, display names have been completely wiped from the forum. Usernames are now the same for both login and display names. I manually chose which would be used for accounts for the sake of being best on MediaWiki's anal retentive nature; if you'd like it changed to something else, let me know, and I can switch it back. Note that names with ampersands or underscores will cause problems, however, so if you had one of those characters in your name it wasn't used.

Hopefully you all know who did the bulk of the work :colbert:

    ...

Okay, if it wasn't for Tweaker's help nothing would've got done (some duplicate name somewhere threw a huge wrench into everything), but yeah.

I guess it is a good thing I didn't attempt to add back my underscore via display names... O_o

A display name thing broke the whole forum?

I doubt that. The website didn't work either.

    Unless I'm assuming wrongly :p

That's not what took down the forum earlier. :P

Rather, it was a gigantic mass of SQL queries, or so I assume. It could be something completely unrelated, but that's what I'm guessing.

It's a recurring problem with a network adpator driver leaking RAM. :words:

My query hell was just a coincidence, since it ran exactly as expected next time.

Right, I never reported this because I noticed it while I was "gone".

But I guess I can post this now:

Yeah, the relevant SQL tables for those aspects of the board were simply never updated with the new names. It's not a huge deal, really, nothing to worry about.

Also, good to see I'm back to ThunderSpeed. I don't remember requesting this, but... someone must've read my mind.

TS, I hope you don't mean Sekrit techie advanced hacking programs??
Also I'm glad you got rid of the Radkip crap. :P You'll always be known as ThunderSpeed or TS.

I know somebody didn't like that I removed the caps lock from my display name, but thanks for choosing my display name.

    Yeah :P

It could probably be fixed manually, but it's such a minor thing I don't see what the point in bothering would be.
