Or have it archived in the projects section. This project died the moment Tweaker committed a crime that's so fowl that it will forever shunned him from society for the rest of his days. Sorry, but you're WAY too late; Chimpo already got the job for the project. Besides, most projects rather hire/recruit someone to do the graphics than use spritesheets of any kind.
You now are part of Team Megamix, or it's only a sprite sheet you did beacuse you wanted to? They look good, more similar to the official ones, but I'm kind of an apreciator of chimpo's work, so I like the older ones a bit better. Sorry you did a great work anyways.
The team is going on without Tweaker. And without Chimpo, I presume, since he dropped out of the community.
But still it need to be locked and archived. That way when the game is FINALLY FINISHED, they'll make a thread with the file of the final product. Also, since when does he dropped out of the community?
1) We've been over this time and again, the topic stays open. 2) You realize Chimpo hasn't been around since the start of the year, right?
I wonder if he is OK I hope he is OK in his life, and has not left beacuse of any health or money problem or anything like that
I do agree on the lock thread until an update, its kind of a bummer just to see this thread bumped without a really good reason. I too have been wondering where Chimpo has gone off to. But the last time we started wondering where a high-ranking member went....well you know what happened.
Not bad, but I thought Tails already had these poses in Megamix..? Anyway, I look forward to seeing an update soon. Maybe around the time of the Hacking Contest or SAGE?
I'm actually confused. Is chelseacatgirl part of Team Megamix now? Her sprite work is very nice I must say, but I don't think TM would just pick a random member to start working on the hack. :\ But I dunno, I'm not doubting your skills chelseacatgirl, I just think it's a bit odd...
Thanks, I just wanted to show everyone the official Sonic CD sprites of Tails. Also, I wanted to show people a few more.
Wait, so no one knows what exactly happened to Chimpo? Now that's a bit worrisome. I'd think he'd at least make some sort of message be heard in some topic, or a PM, or even in IRC. I assumed it was just something I didn't pay attention to, but this...huh. There's got to be someone who knows something, anything. I just hope everything's alright concerning him. And I fully agree on how much of a shame it is to see this topic up again, but have nothing major to announce (nice fix for that springing Tails sprite, though). At least all talks on it (or what talk there has been of it, to phrase it better) have been peaceful recently.
Chimpo is just one of the many who have made a temporary or permanent leave without notice. I think each of us have our own reasons for the decisions we make, and they're usually what we feel will be the best fit for us. Someone knows exactly what happened to him. The question is, who? Otherwise we wouldn't have been aware of his departure immediately after the fact. Nonetheless, it shouldn't delay Megamix from being worked on and completed, regardless of how long it'll take.
Ok folks, while discussion IS allowed on the game in general, it actually needs to be about the game in general. Not your random sprites that we're not accepting, not who left the community for whatever reason, not how much you hate topic bumps that don't cater to what you want, but the game itself and anything related to it. Very little of this is related so umm... Stop that crap, all of you. Now. I will personally pimp slap anyone who further whines about topic bumps.
I may as well post something meaningful It's already been stated in this thread that we aren't accepting assets. I don't know why ChelseaCatGirl posted a sprite sheet I had never seen before and said that it's going into the "next revision", and I don't really much like that. To her, specifically - I have seen alerts about you show up in my messenger several times, but I am entirely unable to see these supposed "profile messages" that you've left me, probably due to some board malfunction. If you have something you need to say to me, you'll have to send it to somewhere I can actually read it, like a full PM or email Chimpo hasn't actually been a contributing member of the team for quite a while, and it really has nothing to do with his status regarding the community as a whole, which I don't even personally know anything about. As far as I know, it's not due to any member-member issues or anything like that, either. He just does whatever he does. He is listed on the wiki article and official site's team page as "Former Member" and "Past Contributor", respectively. Any further discussion on his general status would be better suited to a Members' Lounge thread or something like that, because his connection (or lack thereof) to Megamix is as simple as that I've recently seen someone using the fact that there haven't been any updates since March as implication that the project has actually been outright cancelled. I know that a lot of people don't behave that way, but I thought that was pretty ridiculous. I very well expect that people are going to be disappointed as more time goes by and "nothing happens", but the unfortunate truth is- there is nothing to be said. There have been a few changes and additions since the last mention, but nothing so significant that it justifies any big announcements. I'm not sure that a brand new post every two days or so that just says "It's still not cancelled" is appropriate Just because dashing a few hopes now is probably better than building them up first, I will respond directly to some speculation in one of the more recent posts- I would not expect to see anything regarding Sonic Megamix at this year's Hacking Contest or SAGE. Even if the game were in a more stable state, and even if we were all working on it as if it were our livelihood, we are not going to make another incomplete/demonstration/etc release, and there is still too much work left to do for August to be a reasonable projection At the moment, several of us are actually dealing with other issues of varying degree, so I don't expect to be sharing any big news regarding Megamix anytime in the very near future. That far from means that it's being cancelled- it's just, at the absolute worst, temporarily "on hold", which isn't an abnormal situation in the least In the mean-time, I'm personally working on another, unrelated project that should be making an appearance shortly, but I won't be discussing it in this thread
Yeah, here you go: http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=28273&view=findpost&p=671499 Said thread also concerns CCG, whose at-best-ambiguous posts ITT don't seem like a great use of the trial quota.
