Nice looking 'Julian' in the backstory. As for Antoine, after Sally was supposedly gunned down, it's hard to really get into this, especially since all of the Freedom Fighters are so bland in the comics.

Spaz's Archives cover is nice, but tainted by the Acorns, he varies with Sonic but he's always sucked at drawing Sally.

Wait, I thought that part of the past got rewrote to where Robotnik featured his classic design over the SatAM design.. unless the Genesis arc really did change nothing.

Genesis was stupid and boring as fuck and changed absolutely nothing in the end.

You know, except for undoing some shit Ken Penders did during the end of his reign (I.e. made roboticization impossible).

Ah yeah, that was it! ..but wait, I'm still confused as to why he had his classic Eggman design then, if it's been shown once more that his past form is still SatAM Robotnik.

I'm sure they could've done this whole Genesis arc thing in a way better fashion than they did..

Okay, well yeah there was that, but did we need 4 issues of nothingness to do it? I don't really think so.

No it did not; all it did is reestablished that the BEM deroboticizer only gave immunity to Robians on Mobius so that they won't be roboticized again. Sally isn't a robian at that time and therefore didn't received the immunity, thus she's still prone to roboticization.

Essentially, Genesis existed as a love letter to the old games. It could easily be removed from the timeline and replaced with "Robotnik's invention malfunctioned" in one page and ignored. It's just a marketing thing to tie in to the anniversary, and can be sold as a separate TPB. More or less, yeah, it was pointless story-wise, but made sense marketing-wise.

It's easy, this "SatAM" Robotnik it's this Universe Eggman's "Past" while Classic Eggman is an effect of bringing an alternative (aka game) dimension to revert some "laws" the Archie universe had.
    Solved :P

Problem; "SatAM" Robotnik got sent to the void in issue 50. The current Eggman (or RoboRobotink at that time) came from a parallel universe to take his place as the villain of the series. Robotnik came back for a issue only to get sent back and put a cap in there so that he stays there. There's plans to bring him back for an arc or two, but there's factors within the writing staff that prevent them to do so.

    Working on my art!
The current Eggman downloaded all of the old SatAM Robotnik's memories. So everything SatAM knew, Eggman does too. Essentially RoboRobotnik became Eggman. This is brought up once in fact, Sonic asks Zonic when they're going to haul Eggman away due to the fact that he's not from the prime zone, but Zonic says that by having all of Robotnik's old memories he essentially was Robotnik and they weren't going to do anything about it. Also every Sonic needs a Robotnik, so it "fit"

Dr. Eggman basically IS SatAM Robotnik, only from another Zone where he won against his Sonic and their Freedom Fighters. Also I find Zonic's reason for not hauling Eggman's ass a dick reason, but makes some sence non the less. Funny sence that's something similar to what Robo Robotnik said before he became Eggman. It does make me wonder something, if Robotnik does come back, will Zonic finally get off his ass and take Eggman away? It would be funny if they did that.

I knew Archie's Eggman isn't quite the "SatAM" Robotnik of this universe, but it's like a "mental" clone of sorts like Liquid Ocelot in theory from the Metal Gear series.
hence why I used "" on the word past and also why in this issue Eggman pauses with an "Er" before saying "Younger".

It's more that Eggman and Robotnik Prime share the same history up to a point, somewhere just before or during Endgame. There they branch off, with Prime having died to the UA, and Eggman having lived. Eggman then roboticized himself and waited in some satellites. A few years later, he killed his Sonic and then went back in time or something when travelling to the Prime Zone.

Basically: Naugus knew a different Robotnik, but the two Robotniks experienced the same events.

Well, the real reason Zonic isn't going to take Eggman back to his home zone is because he already filled in the gap that Robotnik left behind. Also, like I said before, Robotnik isn't quite dead; just stuck in a void between time and space. This also prevent the Zone Cops from going into there and bring back Robotnik; they have only have the technology to go through universes, not dimensions.

When Robotnik came back his molecules were unstable anyway.

He came back briefly for an Issue before Sonic and his friends zapped him back into his unstable state, making him unable to come back in his original form. Issue #108.

All I remember from that issue is his melting pudding face:

At least Robotnik had a reason to have the melty face. His molecular structure was falling apart.

Yeah, I know that wasn't what the artist had in mind, but I like to think of it that way.
