OH HAY GUYZ I HAVE S&K5 FOR SALE

I hope someone buys and dumps this, if it already hasn't been.

 

So, where are the 3 games inbetween? =P And the third screenshot looks oddly like that NES pirate that was just a remake of Sonic 1.


I've been to Thailand several times, so I have owned my fair share of crappy (and rare) pirates. One was called just plain "Sonic 3D Blast" (I think Sonicology had something about this), and it was actually pretty good, and the other was the ultra-rare Sonic 3 Fighter Sonic (I posted a topic about this about 4 years ago). I wish I still had them, though.

Off-topic: In that topic, I said about my mum "If she turns nice". That's something I deeply regret saying T__T

 

It looks like another version of Sonic Blast 5, which was on the NES. Still, haven't seen this version before.

 

I would have been interested in buying it if I lived in japan, but oh well. Probably just another Sonic Blast 5 clone though.

About that last screenshot... is it me or Sonic sprites were improved? o_O

EDIT: the cart says "Super Sonic 5", not "Sonic & Knuckles 5"... The whole S&K5 thing seems to be just lazyness from whoever edited the background >_>

 

If anyone is interested in supplying the funds, about twice the asking price (shipping, fees, etc), I can buy and dump this. Not that I care, just saying I can.

Aside from the title screen it's practically identical to Sonic 3D Blast 6 which has been around for years.


Hell, Sonic 3D Blast 6 has that title still stored in the ROM even.

It is already in GoodNES goodsets. It is called Super Sonic 5 (1997) (Unl).

 

It's also called "Sonic World: The Land Adventure" on GBA

 

Next time something like this comes up, I hope people do a more thorough search before considering buying it. Too much money when it's already dumped :P

Ah yes, I had a copy of this one too...

I still remember the sticker with Sonic, tails and knuckles...but its just a somari, with sonic sprites, and changed level order, also you don't get to play Green hill zone, it starts in SYZ... the game is fucking hard because of enemies respawning, and when you are hit, only 3 rings apear... that sucks A LOT...

 

Taking art from an official game is cheating

Why do people think that those games are a hacked Somari when it's the other way? If I recall correctly, the development order was as follows:

• Sonic 3D Blast 5 (Sonic sprites, starts at SYz)
• Sonic 3D Blast 6 (Sonic sprites, starts at Mz)
• Somari (Mario sprites, starts at GHz)

And this pirate seems to be Sonic 3D Blast 5 with a different title screen. Maybe an even earlier version?

 

Perhaps because it makes sense mentally: Somari is for NES, but Sonic 3D Blast came out long after the NES was dead.
