I think 'did' is more appropriate here, Maboy.

You mean DLC levels we probably won't get?

If we were to get one I would hope it would be Sandopolis Zone. At least Act 1 anyway.
Now now...You know you want act 2 as well >:3

Honestly, I like Act 2 a lot better than Act 1 -- the first act is just a bit too meandering and confusing for me; Act 2 is a lot more focused and has difficulty other than "hey figure out a workable route through the level" (which, if the goal is to just get to the end, is admittedly not very hard).

Act 1 has the biggest flaw in that its main distinguishing setpiece -- the large sandfalls near the center of the level that you can safely fall through -- break some rules in design about player trust and the ability of the player to recognize patterns. Given that most of the sandfalls in the level have death pits at the bottom, there's no reason to assume without a guide that they're safe to fall through (I suppose they're almost S&K's "barrel moment"), at least except for maybe one or two that have platforms at a part of them. Aside from that, Act 1 has only the block-pushing/timing puzzles to deal with; they're OK, but several routes through the level, as I recall, can bypass them altogether.

Act 1 is definitely my least favorite level in S&K, primarily because of how indistinctive it is.

Well obviously we want Generations DLC! Who wouldn't? Even the people who didn't like the gameplay would still want it just to look at how good the levels would look.

As for level choices: Lava Reef Zone, Ice Cap Zone, Kingdom Valley, Bingo Highway, and Windy Valley.

Yeah any "dlc" will be user generated. One level I'll want to see as a result of that is Final Rush, since most of the HD textures needed for a remake are already in the Shadow boss.

My thought-out picks for DLC
- Classic Era -
Marble Zone - Some more lava and ruins. We don't have too much of either...
Wing Fortress Zone - A nice sky structure zone, and the original would do.
Carnival Night Zone - This... 1,000 times over, THAT and Sonic 3 needs some love.

- Dreamcast Era -
Ice Cap - Incorporate elements of both S3 and SA into this, and some elements from Holoska too. and maybe a remix using both S3 and SA level tracks? (I only chose SA's zone, because I already had a choice for S3).
Pumpkin Hill - We don't have anything in terms of whimsical or spooky... Why not this one?
Bullet Station/Rail Canyon - An amalgamation of these, much like they did an amalgamation for Seaside Hill/Ocean Palace... This was my favorite Sonic Heroes stage.

- Modern Era -
Kingdom Valley - Really tough to pick, this is trying to polish a turd here... but they did good with Crisis City IMO.
Savannah Citadel - I pulled one out of a hat here... I wasn't sure what to pick from this game.
Tropical Resort - An HD redesign of this would be alright. I dunno, THAT and could they patch the music of Planet Wisp?

That said, lets hope that our resident Sonic Gens hackers make em happen. They already have a shitload of work done on the Unleashed levels.

The fact that no DLC has been announced is a tragedy and is once again an example of Sega having something and not capitalizing on it for who even knows what reason. This game begs for DLC, it weeps in the night for release. Especially given the comments regarding how Sonic Generations is going to be the only game of this kind.

There's so many omissions! You're standing on the cusp of a well of untapped nostalgia! It's depth is so great, you can't even tell where the bottom is!

Money left on the table, Sega. I'd take Generations DLC over Sonic 4 Episode 2 in a heartbeat.

It's what they're good at, especially since we see they're about to drown from lack OF money once again. :eng101:

I would definately be interested in DLC stages. Particularly Hydrocity Zone, Final Rush and Aquarium Park.

Less work to make Sonic 4 stages. :v:

Really, I think that the reason for this is that Sega is just afraid of not meeting fans' expectations. If they weren't, we might have gotten some mission packs by now at least.

Hahahahaaaaa

Sega's never hesitated to dash anyone's expectations before, don't be silly.

Then we will harass them until they do the opposite. :v:

Getting used to the real world sucks. :argh:
