It's been shown that if you actually slow down the game to an almost unplayable framerate(1-2 fps), the hub world music actually transitions smoothly(yes, it cross-fades the volume from one song to the other, which would explain why both hub songs are loading and play together!). One could only but wonder what the hell is going on in that sound engine. Seems to be a timing issue I guess?

Makes me wonder why they didn't just go with Wwise. I mean, ASRT did. Granted that's really Sumo Digital and 5 years later.

Is it ok if I bump this thread? I made some custom Steam grid banners for Sonic GMI and Sonic Generations if anyway wants them. They're very simplistic. Link here.

We have this one already if you want, overlaying the little "Mod" banner on it might be better.

The font is more styled like the game itself, so it kinda fits.

Any help? The game ran fine with no mods and with FxPipeline, but after trying to install the Unleashed Project, any .exe I try to run gives me this.

I DID just install new drivers, but going into the configuration tool and changing settings does nothing.

Go into where Sonic Generations is and delete the .cfg files, run the configuration again, and reset everything to your desired settings, that usually fixes it for me.

    (AudioConfig, DefaultInput, GraphicsConfig, and StatsConfig)

I usually have the same problem whenever switching monitors.

Huh. It works now. Thanks a ton. This computer is literally a day old and I don't want problems like this yet :P

Might as well note that I pushed a patch to the FxPipeline shaders problem that fixes the blurring issue on Radeon HD 7000 series. I'm not aware if it fixes the problem on the Intel HD cards though.

You can download v0.1.3 by selecting the FxPipeline Shaders mod and click the "Download Update" button.

Apparently though Windows can do a cache of the file based on the FTP URL even when I explicitly set it to not do that, so if it refuses to update for you, clearing the Internet Explorer cache does the trick. I blame this on being my first time coding something like that though, so I'm sorry for the problem. :v:

Oh, I'm running Nvidia here. Everything's fine now, and I just played through the Unleashed Project. I'm looking forward to messing around with it some more.

Just tested this on Intel HD3000, and the blurring issue is indeed gone. Thanks!

  11. I ended up doing this and figured I'd share it for anyone who wanted it.

  12. Apologies for the massive bump, but perhaps someone could help me out here. I'm having issues with the FxPipeline Shaders. I'm running an Intel HD 530.

Installed Generations, unzipped the mod into the folder (via the torrent on the ModDB site). My Sonic GMI looks exactly as pictured above.

Unfortunately when I run the game, I get this:

Does it not like my system or am I just blind/forgetting something obvious.

Re-download SonicGMI from the first post (I just updated it). The version that was there was packed in with an old version of the shaders mod. I'm afraid the update server for it is no longer active.

The Unleashed Project MEGA mirror was also updated to include the newer version of the shaders mod (called -r2), but I obviously cannot update the torrent. :v:

  14. There doesn't appear to be any change. I deleted the UnleashedFxPipelineShaders folder in mods, and then replaced it with all the other files with the ones from the first post with no change. I've also tried to repatch/recreate the alternative exe, but alas there's no change :(
