I don't know about anyone else, but I never noticed that Sonic's circle was not round but oval shaped. Crazy. I had never noticed serifs on the font either but that may be just this art?

Sonic's arms are also blue in that picture.

Therefore, any quirks about Sonic's logo in that picture can be disregarded.

Yeah, but THERE is a serif on that C—just very unnoticable.

Also, I didn't know that the thing was oval shaped, either. psyduck.png

Holy shit, just when you think there's nothing left to learn about these games. psyduck.png
Hahaha, can't wait to find out more of the subtleties we've missed.

I never noticed that O.o

Also, wouldn't this suit the "Supreme Topic of Other Knowledge"?

I thought that was just a resolution/colour depth limitation, that parts of circles end up rendered as straight lines...

Oh, well, you live, you learn, I suppose

...That's just the artist's interpretation of the low-res pixel art. Take a look at the box to see the real sans-serif font.

EDIT: Sheesh, just look at that ugly "S".

...Is it me, or does the subtitle on the bottom say "Accessory for your "Sonic the Hedgehog Redemption Game""?

Unless there's another word covered up before redemption, you appear to be correct. wtf does that mean?

Redemption games are basically those arcade machines which dispense tickets, which can be redeemed for prizes. It's standard arcade industry terminology.

Who has noticed that the emblem on the title screen is off-center to the left in Sonic 1? It was fixed in Sonic 2.

I did. I once wanted to make a tech hoax with a centered emblem, but I later gave up since I was too lazy to redraw the background accordingly.

Just look at the ugly Sonic v.png

There are many drawings of the title screen "starring" simular to that one. I have one of them that looks much better than the one we are discussing. Not to forget the trademark'd "HIS NAME IS SONIC" version.

While we're on the discussion of the classic Sonic titlescreen, did you guys know that the winged globe is one of the most ancient symbols known to man?
