http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYsu2AgAssA We don't really have much video documentation on Sega's expo presence, do we? But this certainly helps. This is from a show called "Famitsu Game Catalog" which kukun kun was uploading footage of on YouTube. The other stuff in the episode is not exactly relevant to Sega fans, so I clipped the TTS footage. The standout in the video is the, uh, unusual track shown in the Daytona USA demo... and also driving at an isometric bird's eye view. Huh, what?
'94 Tokyo Toy Show Live action footage is always a help, but these demos were actually covered in quite a bit of detail by the gaming press at the time. All the early first-party Saturn titles can be traced back to shockingly simple demos put on display in 1993/1994. It just requires someone to get some pages made for Sega Retro. Virtua Fighter/Development Daytona USA/Development etc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnmZnh2rHaM I did find more media footage, incidentally. You can see a lot more of the Virtua Fighter demo in this one.
Eeeek - Solid evidence that the Sonic "Man of the year" short dates back to at least June 1994 - At least 15 different colours of Game Gear - Massive lists of Saturn games that were probably never released - Loads of things that need translating and documenting and I don't have the time and nobody else wants to do it and aarharhhgfgfsdklfjg
Sidenote Kiddo - don't use [media] tags and leave the s off your YouTube URLs, otherwise they won't embed!
