When playing Sonic for the first time, three things rushed through my head. 'BLUE HEDGEHOGS ARE WEIRD', 'This is kinda fun' and 'This is hard. What's past that chocolate zone? (Spring yard zone)'.

I forgot those thoughts until today. When it came back: 'What if I made it so easy my younger self would hate it?'

So I present to you...
SONIC EASY MODE!

Now without jumping and missing!

(Braces for hate)

If you are inexperienced at Sonic or want to introduce a kid to the series, this is your romhack.

The current changes:
Buzzbombers, Newtrons and other badniks have been decommissioned.
Spikes are gone.
Levels have been slightly redesigned to be easier and accommodate new changes.
5 super ring boxes are near the goal and the bonus ring is at the ground.

These changes will become more noticeable throughout the game.

If you're worried about OrangeDox it just let's me see download counts and stuff.

Note: Currently only Green Hill is finished. I have a lot of spare time and it takes 2-4 hours to do each zone. I am posting it to see if people like it. The finished build will be out if I get positive feedback. If I do I am willing to all-nighter this project to you fast. If people love the finished product, Sonic 2 and 3 are next.

Anyways, play, leave any feedback and tell me about any issues.

Enjoy!

I wonder if I can beat this being blind. Anyone know a Genesis emulator for Linux that doesn't require an Xserver?
