I forgot that they had the uncut version available for streaming at all... lol. Then again I have the whole series subbed so it's not too big of a loss. :v: Would be nice to have better translated/timed subs on episodes 53-78, though...
Out of curiosity, are the Hulu episodes any higher quality than the current Japanese DVD rips? It would be nice to think that 4kids had access to a better quality source than the old fansubbers, but I guess there's only so much you can do for that early/mid-2000 era of digital Anime to improve the quality.
I watched the first episode subbed the other day, and it was so clean there wasn't even any text during the intro and outro. Bad jokes aside, it's very high quality. Looks great.
What!? How long has Hulu had this subtitled for? I wish I'd known sooner. I remember 4Kids uploading them to YouTube...I think without subtitles. Hopefully I can finish it before they require subscription. I already tried subscribing to them, but canceled as soon as I found out it was pointless and they still gave me ads. I know they have since made a new, more expensive option available which is ad-free, but it's too late for winning ME over. Puto! You're quite the familiar "face". I know you from Kanzenshuu. Also, good work on saving the subtitles. Your service to the community is admirable, good sir.

It just won't die. Shame they wouldn't give the slot to Sonic Boom, it needs more another spot to shine more.
I think the Cartoon Network rights to Sonic Boom are too comprehensive even with getting shuffled to Boomerang to allow that.
Most likely. It's just a shame that they basically gave the show a death sentence from the start. Like if they didn't even want it why'd they pick it up? 6 AM on Boomerang? The hell is that?
Cartoon Network probably picked it up thinking they were gonna get a show in the Teen Titans Go vein and when Sonic Boom turned out differently they lost interest and have screwed it over ever since.
But Sonic Boom is as analogous to Sonic as TTG is to Teen Titans in terms of tone and design, it's just not terrible nor does it replace the canon series. I can't think of something that would work any better, to be honest.
