Yes, out of sheer boredom (what am I going to do with my new-found summer vacation time? :P ), I, too, have started a hack. So far, only palettes have been done, but I plan on playing around with the level layout and such (just give me some time to get the hang of using SonEd, I'll figure it out). Some screens for your viewing pleasure (or pain, whichever way you take it). I haven't come up with any changes to the level names, any suggestions would be greatly apprieciated (and I'd like it better if I used your suggestions rather than mine). Okay, here are the screens:

Casino Night Zone

Death Egg Zone

Emerald Hill Zone

Mystic Cave Zone

Metropolis Zone

Oil Ocean Zone

Wing Fortress Zone

Any and all suggestions, complaints, etc. are welcome as it is my goal to make this hack a good one (hell yeah if I'm going to spend my summer making it, it better be decent!). Thank you for your time in reading this, and a good day to you. ;)

Holy crap, that Casino Night Zone palette looks exactly like one I made a long time ago. o_O

Well...I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. The only hack I've ever played was the Sonic Omega one that .hack//zero made, and even that was a long time ago. So, this is just by chance, I suppose. Are you angry that I did that?

No, I'm not angry. I'm just saying that it looked like it.

Oh okay then. ^_^

Also, regarding Chao-Sax Pal...what are the "Unknown" palettes used for?

EDIT: Another thing: I tried to open up my hack in ESEII and it asked me if I wanted to "Migrate" my levels, otherwise they'll be overwritten. Uh...should I migrate them or not?

Umm, I'm not really sure what that means. But I'm pretty sure that it probably isn't a bad thing. I'd pick "yes".

Well...okay. I was going to pick "yes" anyway but I thought I should ask someone first.

EDIT: Nevermind. Nothing happened. :P

Changed Super Sonic's colors to the red family.

Migrating the levels means that data for level layout and art are moved to the end of the ROM so that there's no problem with compression.

So, I guess that's a good thing then. Well...since it didn't really do anything to the hack. Now I know what that means. Thank you. ^_^

All the other palletes are good except the hot pink in mystic cave hurts my eyes. There is way too much red in death egg. Also You just don't change Super Sonics Pallete maybe dif shades of yellow but not red, green, magenta... get the point?

That may be what you want but I don't see why everyone should be confined in that way.

Well in my opinion, that Super Sonic looks sweet. Not changing Sonic's pallette makes sense, but the chaos emeralds could turn Sonic into something else in this hack
