Two Sonic games will come in 2017, I can't see any new hacks in last weeks, so I decided to show my latest built of my Tails Adventure hack. So, this hack has:

    - disabled Game Over, so you don't need to remember passwords, unlike original game.
    - easier weapons/item choice
    - edited level layouts and palettes in Poloy's Forest, Volcanic Tunnel, Caron Forest and first area of Polly Mt. 1
    - music swap
    - edited map tiles (more shitty, but that will change)
    - edited SEGA logo
    - edited Title Screen

Special Thanks goes to SupperTails66's for making Tails Adventure editor "Tales" - without that program, this hack won't exist.

What do you mean by "easier weapons/item choice"? It has been years since I've played the game and remember next to nothing.

The "easier item selection" one of the options in the Tails Adventure editor. Basically you hold start, press the direction of the item you want, and release start for a "quick change". (There's also the option to not go to the title screen on death, which this hack uses too.)

I've played your game briefly (gave up a couple screens into Volcanic Tunnel) and, so far, it's not that bad. A copule suggestions, though:

    - Your level select tilemap is entirely broken. The entire island is just a white square thing tiled repeatedly. It looks bad.
    - There's a couple spots (like the vertical wood pillar holding up the platform at the very start of the game) that bug out the collision due to being repurposed walls or something like that. Nothing game-breaking, but worth checking out.
    - Don't give out submarine items as the first items in the game. They get shuffled into your inventory where you can't select them, which is rather confusing.
    - Spikes. You have way too many of them. It's challenging, sure, but dying for the umpteenth time because you flew into ceiling spikes and then fell into spikes at the bottom of a pit isn't all that fun.

All in all, it's a decent start. I'm interested to see where this goes.

Tails' Adventure has some of the nicest graphics I've ever seen on an 8-bit system. Wow.

Saw a copy of this at my local game store...was thinking of picking it up.

Hack looks great! Glad to see some attention brought to this title, even if it is a little slow.

Thank you for feedback. It's nice to hear, that my hack isn't a failure. BTW my next project is Sonic 3 And Windows so I'll do my best to finish solid S3 hack. ;)

    ALWAYS Sonic the Fighters
I remember the moment very clearly in the store. I had the choice between Tails Adventure and Sonic Labrynth back in the day. Never ended up getting Labrynth, but I always had so much fun with Tails Adventure and was glad to see an Archie tie in as well. This game had incredible mechanics for the game gear and it always made me wonder why nothing like this was ever made again. Glad to see someone improve upon the game!
