I've yet to see a single decent character with the SOS function. It's just vanilla characters with the burst wispon. That's it.
I made more. Shade the Hedgehog: Twilight the Hedgehog (yes, literally a female version of the above): Edge the Lord: Paula the Bear:
I'm the kind of guy who names his pokemon protagonist "Red," "Brendan," "Ethan/JIMMY," etc., so obviously I'm impartial to the promo art red-wolf look lol. Not a fan of making OCs tbh (ignore display pic) so the 'default" is fine with me. Plus the wolf is just one of the better designed models really. That said I thought he'd look good with some western garb. 'Howdy. Spoiler also this is trashy but looks hilarious so why not rofl
my main was this dog (named sacha probably?) in the postgame i made a bunch of others for each species none of which have names Spoiler also fucked up evil mario. Spoiler
Don't have a picture as the console's turned off right now, but I played as the bird because I thought double jump meant an actual double jump and not a tiny hop added to the end of a jump. The dude was green, had the black eyes/red pupils thing going until my console finished downloading the free DLC from the code with the console. After that he had Beat's glasses, shirt, and shoes with Nights' hat and whatever skin texture-thing I'd unlocked that was closest to looking like black pants. Towards the end of the story I got bored of the game and I'd go to the Avatar editor thing before each stage and hit "Random," then exit out and play with whatever look the game gave me.
The avatars' faces look fucking ugly no matter what you do, so just cover that shit up :specialed: This chick is a grizzled mercenary who ain't got time for your SHIT, KNUCKLES Her immensely edgy and heart-rending backstory is shrouded in mystery, because I can't be arsed to think of one :v:
Same here. I'm always into creating characters/names that feel like they would actually 'fit' in the world as if the creators themselves designed them. I've not made an OC I'm happy with yet, but I ended up making two 'canon' characters: The main OC Wolf who I used to beat the story with (didn't give him the glasses until after I beat the game because fuck those specs), and the Resistance member from the 'Moment of Truth' comic. So yeah, not very original from me but I'm branching out to create some more horrific designs now. Hopefully I'll post them sooner rather than later.
Grow up I'm pretty happy with my very anime hedgehog girl who really likes Mega Drive games and wears a cape.
I really like the wolf design, but i don't wanted to add too much accessories. I tried to keep it simple Spoiler
I made a female bird, since I can't make my dragon OC/Fursona so this is the most similar thing. I really like her. I named her Feather the Blue Jay Earlier version had green soap shoes and a ligther beak, but I like her new look better
Speaking of not being able to make a dragon because SEGA thought we didnt want it (hahAHAH) has anyone made the scale armor look good? I forget if thats even a fullbody texture / if it covers the face skin as well. If it works the way I think it does, using that on a birb might be the best bet. ngl the one thing that really bugs me about this OC system is the fact the characters all have the same build. Its just kinda dumb. Everyone's the same height and shoulder width, and they're all based off the same model of a tube body and circle head. This is a bit upsetting cuz sonic characters actually have/had a good amount of shape design thought out in their looks, and that seems entirely absent here so everyone looks like an awkward weird clone. Ah well.
For all the bitching that's been going on in the main thread, just watching this thread made me feel like a cringy 14 year old again. It's adorable. I'm actually excited to rent Forces now.
I got these 2 at random and liked what I saw. Spoiler And these ones I made myself Spoiler A Familiar looking Concept rabbit, Flornya Wolf, Lana Rabbit, Karla Cat, NiGHTS into Bird Brain (actually an unnamed birdie), Unnamed bear, Random Doggo, A Wanted Weasel Young Boom Sonic, and a familiar looking pallet glitch.
If there's one thing I applaud Sonic Team for, is to allow cross dressing to make up for gender limitation. With that said: My Fan Character recreated.
