I need to record some gameplay from Sonic Runners (as well as some short "footage" of menu, available things to change etc), but here is the deal - I've never recorded anything from Android. I'm playing in it on JXD S7800b, it has HDMI output, but I don't know, if it is making whole process easier or not. The problem is, that I don't have any specific capturing device (only some cheap easycap bootleg), and due to fact that it's closing very shortly, I'd rather use some simple method (buying anything would probably be connected with shipping from other country, which is always taking some time - in fact I was recently waiting more than week to receive package from Germany, and I'm living in Poland).

Any suggestions and advices would be really helpful (I know that I've came into this idea a bit late, but better late than never :P).

Most androids come with a screen recorder as default. If not, I'm sure there's an app for it?

mmm, couldn't you screen cast the device to your PC, then just record using fraps or something?

Sorry, I totally forgot about this topic since Sonic Runners was closed :(

@redhotsonic - I've heard about it, the problem is that those android handhelds I've got are "armed" with some unusual set of applications, but none of them (at least according to my research) is not capable of recording the gameplay (maybe I'm looking wrong). I've read that Google Play recently added some service which actually allows to record gameplay! (sadly, it's recording also player's face, but maybe it's possible to turn it off, or at least cover the camera) Sadly, it's working only on newest versions on Android, while I've got KitKat on my JXD S7800B (as well as on GPD XD).

@Coolrejk - I was considering this option (though back in the day when I was writing this topic I was looking for method which didn't need any additional hardware, due to lack of time) but now I can consider this option. To be honest, I'm recently thinking about some capturing device (for something I have in mind but still planning), the problem is that the only one I knew is not too expensive and quite "cooperative" is ezcap, but that's rather for some "stationary" consoles with composite cables. Appareantly, in case of JXD S7800b I could use some capturing device capable of cooperating with HDMI output - but there is plenty of those in the internet (some of them quite expensive) and I don't know where to start with.
