Yay, as expected, I got nothing~

Seriously though, I'm just glad ERaZor (yes, I actually looked up the correct capitalization) won so many trophies (....six!!)
I doubt anyone else shares my view but I'd say it's the most awesome hack I've ever played. v.png

Yay! I won best handheld hack ... for a master system game? psyduck.png

I'll shaddup now before I'm disqualified.

Thanks to everyone who spent their time on this contest, and special thanks to Ayla for all her hard work over the years. Now get out of here before we suck you back in again!

That was a mistake I made when I had the strange idea that yours was a Game Gear game. The title can be changed, just give me a good name. =P

Well, keeping with the theme of most of the trophies, you could go for the prestigious sounding "Crystal Egg Trophy" or the amusing "Scrambled Egg Trophy". The category would be for any system that pre-dates the Mega Drive, although I don't know whether you want to include Neo Geo Pocket/Game Boy entries as well

You now have the Crystal Egg Trophy, which is for the best 8-bit hack.

Although I have a lot of these, I'd really appreciate it if someone zipped them all (well, what's available) up into one nice package.

1, 2, 3, 4... 7? You gotta be fucking kidding me! Last year I didn't even get a runner up and now you gave me 7 trophies (5 of them just for Sonic ERaZor)??? I know, some of them are the... well, not-so-good trophies, but the fact I got them makes me so goddamn happy, you wouldn't believe! And it appears that I also won the most trophies and runner ups (ok, it's just one but still), which makes a total of 8 mentions. Seriously, if I'd post a picture of my face now, I'd be banned for showing you the inside of my mouth, because I can't close it anymore.

But enough of presenting myself as a hero (which I'm not btw): Big congratulations for all the other winners, especially Thorn and DNXDelta, your hack really deserved to be up there and if it wasn't for Boom, you'd've already been up there last year. =)

Couldn't find links for:
Sonic Rape 2.0
I couldn't resit. (Make sure you play in full screen, especially when you are about the enter the special stage!)

@Dude: I hate to bitch about this, but you didn't make the capitalization in the trophy banners quite right. As Hayate already said, it's "ERaZor", not "EraZor" (big E, big R, small A, big Z, small O, small R). =P

Iizuka Trophy - Hack Much Like Sonic 4
Sonic 2 Dimps Edition by SOTI

The entire hack is a parody of the sequel many became disappointed at. Speed boosters, homing attack and physics modified so you can run on ceilings, if you want to play Sonic 4 on the Mega Drive, this is the hack to play until someone does better. Truly a hack as you imagined it.

And the aware for most shoe-horned in trophy goes to.... =P

Congrats to all the winners, there's some spectacular hacks here. And also to the ones who didn't quite make it, either - more than a couple that were worth prizes, imo.

And I'm terribly sad to see you go, Nayr. Take care, hopefully we'll chat again some time =)

GT Koopa: Flicky Turncoat came close to getting some stuff. It should have received honourable mention for a couple things, iirc.

Which ones did it almost get Honorable mention for?

I actually voted for Flicky Turncoat for a couple. I had to lol at the innovative use of "FUCK!" that the Flickies gave.

Also, to be fair, I was operating with an outdated judging list. Many of the trophies I never saw. As for giving "THE GAME - You just lost it" to Sonic 1 Lunacy, I had to, for lulz.

Wow. When Ranger and I began our hack we never really thought we'd win any awards for it, maybe a few chuckles. To win something like "Most Fun", to me, is the biggest honor. Thanks guys <3

my involvement is still there, I'm just not judging. I feel a newer generation is more in tune with the nature and subculture of this community better than I. I will still be making all the executive calls, but the judging is not mine to make anymore (thank fucking god). This means the contest should get wrapped up quicker next year (in about one week) and you can count on a complete overhaul of the contest that will completely change the nature of it (more hands-on and enthralling). Rules should be released in the next couple days (more than likely tomorrow). Stay tuned for details!! =)

Also, I am offering to judge next year, since I have no life and am pretty much always reachable. I'll be doing the banners again, etc, and anything else you guys might need.

If it's worth anything, I feel Mercury would make a fantastic hacking contest judge; in fact I think I might respect his opinions on the dynamics of a Sonic game more than my own at this point. I know there might be a conflict of interest as he occasionally enters his own hacks into the contest, but I think he's worth considering regardless.

Congrats to all the winners, btw. Sorry for kind of pussying out on the judging, but I just wasn't into it this year.

Well, judges are able to submit their own stuff, it's just that they won't be able to judge their own work.

In terms of next year, I do have the written plan done, I just need to talk to Ayla about the rest. There's currently five judges signed up, but I think Mercury would do a good job too.
