It's better that you will be releasing it incomplete rather than letting it die like so many others have done before. Can't wait.

As I said in IRC, excellent. S2SMTP has always been one of my favourite hacks. Heck, I remember, a time I arrived late to classes, forgetting about time when playing it.

Well, this is fun.

Layouts are very solid, flow well, and are generally fun to play through. The new music and miscellaneous graphics are refreshing, as is the idea of an options zone. However, the options themselves are extremely redundant for the most part; I don't really see a reason to warrant a whole zone for them. The character select is a nice touch, though. The alternate difficulties are also rather interesting, though I don't personally see much of a need unless the layouts are completely different.

I absolutely despise your method of accessing the main special stages. The special rings gimmick was horrible and annoying in Sonic Advance 2, and that notion is no different here. As a result, I don't think I'll ever be able to check out Hyper Sonic—which sucks rather hard, because I wanted to see how he was different. I do, however, appreciate the save feature, though I can't help but feel the number of menus is a bit ridiculous.

The sound choices are rather basic, but not detracting; they're not brilliant, but they do their job, fitting the zones quite well.

All in all, I'd say this is a pretty solid hack. Nice balance of changes, not incredibly difficult, and it includes a wide array of features which can increase playability to a large degree. Nice work, and I hope to see more from you in the future! :)

I found several bugs while playing this hack. For the record, I used the Sonic and Tails combination in the Kega Fusion emulator.
1) When bouncing on diagonal springs with the water shield, the bounce is not canceled. When you land back on the ground, you will bounce.
2) In Green Greens, the palette of the blue springs appears to flash when you have recently seen a waterfall.
3) A rather obscure bug. I bounced into a flock of those flying enemies and bounced back to the ground as if I hit the bottom of a monitor. I wasn't able to replicate this bug.
4) The following happened when I encountered the boss of Green Greens.

This is one of the best level layout hacks ever. Including new zones is probably the main attraction of this hack. Musics and technical improvements did the rest.

Evaluation:

Pallettes	16; Most are cool, some of them don't fit
Graphics 14; Changes imported from other games
Layout 18; One of the most difficult games ever
Technical	18; The options mode zone is a present
Music 17; High quality songs, expecting in more zones
-------------------
Total 83/100
