After finishing The Black Knight, I set down my controller and pondered.
"What on earth is next?"
We've had Sonic in the world of the Arabian Nights, and in an Arthurian landscape. So, what could possibly be next? I doubt they made that logo just for one game.
Honestly, I fear...Sonic and the Wild West, where Shadow is the leader of the bandits, Tails is the Bartender, Amy is the Showgal, and Knuckles as the Deputy, and Sonic has to rise in rank to be the Sheriff of a town. In stages, I've had visions of Sonic riding a horse, shooting pistols.
What do you think is next?
btw if Sonic and the Wild West actually happens I got dibs on the call

I'm thinking either Wizard of Oz (follow the yellow brick road seems to be the general idea behind most modern Sonic level design) or Journey to the West.

It happens in the comic.
Anyway, I thought Sonic in Wonderland might be cool. It's bring the surrealism back to the series.

I'm sticking with my guess of Sonic and the 300 Spartans.
I'd love to see Knuckles punch Shadow into the pit yelling "THIS IS SPARTA!".

Personally, instead of being sucked into the book, I think it would be a lot more interesting (and these games would also make a lot more sense) if Sonic were to instead imagine how the story of a book would go if he were to be in the story. The characters in the book look like his friends, not because Sega wants to stick them in the game for the sake of doing it, but because that's how Sonic imagines them (he's projecting his friends appearance onto them).
