I thought there was some sort of S3 Megamix. I remember it just had some music and pallet changes.

Yeah, if I recall there was only a turquoisish Angel Island with Green Grove music.

Sonic 2 and 3 Megamix are totally unnecessary, considering that Megamix nowadays seems to make Sonic 1 almost unidentifiable underneath.

Yeah pretty much the way I think of it is that maybe when they finish Sonic Megamix, they would rather do a Sonic Megamix 2 than a Sonic 2 Megamix. It would be easier for them to execute by using their completed game than to go back and use Sonic 2 as a base again. It may be a while though. They may or may not end up wanting to make a second one depending on how much they enjoy doing this work. If you guys are having a blast I bet you won't stop after finishing up one game.

The music isn't the only thing that's completely new, either. :3

Yeah, I gotta agree. Coming in here to only find boxart with shitty modern characters pulling contrived nigger poses on them is complete bonerkill.

And honestly, non of them are very good at all.

While I agree with you, and understand your sentiment, must you always use the word "nigger" in your posts (and what is a 'nigger pose')? It's a bit obnoxious and more than a bit offensive. Are you trying to appear as 'cool', funny or 'edgy' or something? Are you trying to get some kind of reaction? Either way, its not very classy, at all.

It's when you get a black person trying to look all hard and alpha male (but instead most of the time looks a dick). Also there's no need to get all uptight about nigger, it's just a word. Throw it back and call him white trash, hell it would be great to just get the same banter back instead of people going PC over words.

@Tweaker

The tune is fantastic.

EDIT:

I've got to ask, do you have any plans for arranged versions for the different acts or is it something you may consider when you get all the other zone music finished (assuming you haven't done them already).

So, I just played that on top of playing Megamix 3's City Outskirts, it didn't fit as well as I thought it would, but I guess it will fit much better with the new version of City Outskirts you guys are working on.

Regardless, it's fantastic.

At the current moment there are no plans to have music change per act while playing the game with CD audio. This feature is still present when playing with the FM soundtrack, however.

The level is completely different in its latest incarnation, so trying to mentally pair it with the old palette-swapped Spring Yard won't give you much insight as to how well it fits. Depending on circumstances, it may not be long before we post footage of the level itself, so stay tuned for that.

Do I detect influence from Collision Chaos? There are a couple parts that remind me of the level at least. That's a good thing, since I love the stage theme.

I like it. Feels very similar to Stardust Speedway JP.

Digging the Sonic CD samples, especially the "hits" and drum bits. Those drum fills are very good too. I like how the song embodies the organ riffs from Hydrocity Zone, samples from Sonic CD, and has this funk feel you didn't get with Sonic CD, but with Sonic Adventure's funky sort of jazz undertones. The influences are great, and the typical Tweaker touch is fantastic. I'm not sure which I am more excited about right now: the game, or the music. smile.png

Keep up the great production, Tweaker, I can't wait to hear more.
