Does anyone have, or have access to, the EU or UK manual of Tails' Adventure original release? We have translations of the JP one and scans of the US one, but nothing of Europe.

If it's not on the Sonic Retro wiki, it probably doesn't exist.

We're not the Jedi Archives yet, I don't think :P Was it common for Gamegear games to be released without a manual?

Of course not (no offense)... we just don't have a scan of it yet...

It came with a manual, as my copy has one. I don't have a scanner (or access to one), but can take pictures of anything from it later, if that's helpful.

Well... I'm not an authority here to decide what best fits the wiki... but since we have manuals like this one here (provisionally) saved on Sega Retro... I see no problem in doing it... it would be a start... but that's my opinion...

I fear that just taking pictures may lead to scans never being done since they'll become even less of a priority.

Well ... that's also true ... I cannot disagree with that ...

"Something" is better than nothing. Our wikis are covered in placeholder scans for that reason.

If you do compile a manual through photographs, I would ask that the pages still are numbered correctly, so when we do get a better scan, all links to "page 5" still point to page 5.

Say, for example, the European Tails Adventures manual specifically points out that Tails is a girl - we'd probably want to reference that regardless of quality, because it would mean a generation of UK schoolchildren were right all along.

I beg to differ kind sir ;)

I don't have a scanner but will try and borrow one when I can some aren't the greatest pics as I was in a rush.

Ace, thanks, man.

Turns out it's the same text as the US manual just with translations added, nothing too surprising. Still, wanted to check.

Not a problem, I have a few other GameGear Sonic games possibly not scanned, I'll do my best to scan them at some stage.

Is there a list of what games haven't been scanned? I have US/UK/JP copy's of most Sonic games, including some of the rarer asian/korean versions.

https://imgur.com/a/HGRxB some of the bits I have, and a few pics from when I debated selling the rest https://imgur.com/Q70tN6z https://imgur.com/NSHELDU https://imgur.com/pRssDG5 https://imgur.com/rX5PULz

I'm not sure... I guess not... these here, are all the Game Gear manuals we have ... and as you can see the majority of them are low resolution scans... so if it isn't asking much... can you make better scans of all of those?

Sure, I'll try and do this at some stage.

It's 6:18am here but I don't want to derail this thread so will make another on what I have and what needs rescanning or scanning.

Seems some one else was one top of it. I was only offering images as a temporary measure, mind. Glad to see it didn't take long to get what you were looking for.
