It is true this isn't the first time SEGA has done this sort of thing but it's probably the first time they really went all out of making a completely different universe to introduce fans to and to be honest, I don't see this as a bad thing. I mean, it's breath of fresh air that Boom is doing its own thing and rarely does any any callbacks to the main series canon (I mean, it does make some callbacks but very sparingly). I mean, the comics and X are pretty much their own on take on the main series canon and that's fine. It is also true that most fans might not like how much of a deviation but I don't expect Boom to appeal to everyone, especially the pre-established fans but anybody that gets into and was already a fan are a great extra bonus. But eh, at this point this is just me spitballing and not making much sense so I'll leave it at that.
I know in the atari community, box printing is pretty common. I imagine it isn't so hard to do that if someone wanted to.
Yeah, I got banned for a first offense. I was pretty careful before then. I am still posting, just under another name. I legit wanna know what happened to cooljerk. I didn't see anything in his post history that he shoulda been banned for.
Don't bring drama from other boards onto Retro. You wanna ask Cooljerk, you do it via PM. Consider this your one and only warning on this subject.
